Quarter of Music Producers Now Using AI Amidst Creative Control Concerns

According to a Tracklib survey, 25% of music producers are using AI, with most (73.9%) utilizing it for stem separation. However, only 21.2% use it for generating song elements, and a mere 3% for creating entire songs. Resistance is high, with 82.2% of non-users citing creative reasons and 34.5% doubting AI's quality. There's a clear divide: assistive AI is viewed more favorably than generative AI, which sees minimal support.

A majority of producers indicated they have concerns about losing control of their music.
