The Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade was disbanded in early 2012 and any actions attributed to it only represent their perpetrators.

The Tripoli Revolutionaries Brigade (TRB) was founded at the outset of the Feb 17th Revolution in the city of Benghazi and had branched out to numerous other locations. In mid-2011, the TRB headquarters was relocated to Nalut in the Nafusa Mountain and had established numerous branches in other areas of the mountain including Zintan and Bir-Ghanam. The TRB participated forcefully in most battles i

n the Nafusa Mountain and had played an essential role in the liberation of Tripoli. The brigade was predominantly made up of Tripolitanian youth who had escaped the tyrant's grip in Tripoli and made it out to the liberated areas. The brigade was home to revolutionaries from all walks of life including medical doctors, school teachers, students, and professional military personnel. The TRB was never a military arm of any political or ideological group but was merely a group of patriots with the common goal of liberating their country and building a strong, free and just nation. In 2012, the TRB was one of the first rebel brigades to recognize the legitimacy of the elected government and dissolve most of its members into the new military and security apparatuses. The brigade is no longer a single, coherent entity on the ground and its social media accounts are merely a voice for its former members and an outlet for archived material.
