“Church Hurt” is defined as:

emotional, spiritual, or psychological pain someone experiences as a result of actions or behaviors by people within a church community, often involving leaders or fellow members.

This hurt can stem from various sources, such as judgment, exclusion, betrayal, abuse of power, hypocrisy, or other forms of misconduct within the church setting and is one of leading reasons people turn away from God.

The impact of church hurt can lead to feelings of distrust, alienation, and a damaged faith or relationship with the church and, sometimes, with faith itself. It's a significant issue because it not only affects individuals' mental and emotional well-being but also their spiritual lives and community relationships.

This week we will be talking about how we can heal from these hurts and be a part of the solution.
