Hi Everyone! I just wanted to jump on here and let you all know that I'm revitalizing this Golden Bay Times page and will start updating it daily, beginning on Monday. For those who have stuck around through this entire year that it's been just dormant, THANK YOU! sorry that I have neglected it, but it's back now.

That said, here's a video I shot last week. I don't know how many A's fans we have on this page, but if you are.....first of all, I'm sorry, I'm feeling it too. And secondly, I hope you like this video.

If you're not an A's fan, I still hope you like this video and I hope that you never have to go through what we have with your favorite team.

Cheers!

Here's a video I shot that day. A final tour of the area of the Coliseum most fans never got a chance to see.

I'm not a videographer. I'm a photographer. In fact, this is my first video where I had to learn editing by trial and A LOT of ERROR! I know the audio isn't ...

That said, have a great end of the year, stay safe next weekend. God Bless!

Happy Christmas Eve's Eve!
Has this holiday season gone by quickly, or is it just me? It seems like we just finished our Thanksgiving dinner, ha!

I'd like to wish you all a wonderful Christmas! May it be full of love, joy, laughter, and... I would say eggnog, but not everyone is a fan, so we all like gifts. Let's say gifts!

These pics are of the tree and giant gingerbread house at the Fairmont Hotel - At 22 feet tall and 35 feet wide, the Fairmont San Francisco's two-story edible Victorian was crafted by the hotel's culinary team using thousands of real gingerbread bricks and 2,000 pounds of candy.

Can you ever get tired of this view?

Did you know that San Francisco has the most Michelin-Star restaurants in the U.S.? Yes, even more than New York & LA! And that's without Gordon Ramsay setting up shop here!

What is your favorite SF restaurant?

I like the idea, but wouldn't it have been easier to rent a snow machine?

Hoping to “bank” another victory in the annual SF Fire station holiday decorations contests, a Potrero Hill fire station hauled in 15 cubic yards of snow from the Sierra mountains to embellish their display and give local kids a real white Christmas.

What do you think of this 12-foot-tall sugar castle? It's currently on display at The Westin St. Francis San Francisco on Union Square. It not only rotates but there's a candy train that travels around the base. Amazing the things that people can do, right?

Travel back 2000 years as an entire city block is transformed into Bethlehem. Complete with streets, buildings, markets, food, and live animals!
Unfortunately, if you've never attended Bethlehem A.D., this week will be your last chance as it will no longer be held. Have you ever been? What are your thoughts?

Every year for the past 30, downtown Redwood City has transformed an entire city block into Bethlehem. Yes, Bethlehem, from the Bible, the birthplace of Jesus! Unfortunately, it's been reported that this will be it's final year of operation...

We all know Mark Twain, the great writer of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer & Huckleberry Finn books, A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, and many more. Born in Missouri, he spent most of the 1860s out west between Nevada and San Francisco as a newspaper writer and editor.

What is your favorite Mark Twain book?

A great American writer and 'American Saint' according to Kurt Vonnegut, Mark Twain to my mind has somehow made his own dents and shaped the American...

What about the time The King of England, The President of the United States, and a boxing legend rode on BART! - Sounds like the beginning of a really lousy dad joke! But it really did happen...

President Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon rode from the San Leandro Station to Lake Merrit in November 1972.

Muhammad Ali boarded a BART Train at Lake Merrit for a ride to San Francisco in 1975.

King Charles III (Then Prince of Wales) rode from The Embarcadero Station in San Francisco to 12th Street Oakland in 1977.

As legendary broadcaster Mel Allen used to say, "How About That?"

SANTA CON COMES TO TOWN TOMORROW

In case you don't know what Santa con is, it's described as, "A flash mob-type event that brings together hundreds of slightly sober people dressed in Santa costumes parading around the city, visiting landmarks drinking at bars, and causing general mayhem".

If you have a Santa suit and are interested in joining the festivities, all Santas begin congregating In Union Square at about noon. Just follow all the red suits after that.
