WOZQ 91.0 FM is Smith College's entirely student run, independent radio station. Established in 1949, WOZQ is committed to bringing high-quality programming campus wide and its audience at large. In the Digital age WOZQ is dedicated to preserving independent radio as a unique platform of communication and cultural exchange within the community. As an independent, student-run radio station of over
135 DJs, WOZQ serves as an alternative to corporate media, providing local and national communities with diverse music, news, and events that may not otherwise reach mainstream audiences. Further, WOZQ is one of the oldest, independent female driven stations providing empowerment through involvement in broadcasting. Yeah it’s a little late… but worth the wait for the end of semester photo dump!!! We did so much this semester- from the first all org meeting of the semester, to our open mic, the Art on Air event with SCMA, Kilo Kish headlining the spring concert, all org karaoke and Sunset Fest, we were busy. And most importantly, we’ve been in the studio broadcasting every day from 6am until 3am!!! Thanks for an epic and beautiful semester. Rest up this summer, because we’ve got even more coming in the fall. Wozq love 💞🦇

I walked into the studio the other day and there was a mysterious package waiting for me… and was a little confused upon opening it up and discovering this book with people interviewing Kurt Cobain. OMG! Over the weekend some of our board members got to go to the @ibsstudentmedia conference in NYC and we had the TIME OF OUR LIVES!!!!!!! Thank you to @boyscoutmarie for making it happen 🙏 here are some of our highlights!!!!!!!! We learned so much and had so much fun hearing everyone talk and meeting other DJs and broadcasters!!!!!
