The Social Commentary Forum (SCF) is a family made up of individuals who all have different views of life, all from different aspects of the Southern Region of Africa. We are not a group nor a crew but rather a collective of skilled and talented individuals in a movement that's building to achieve greatness in all aspects of music and business. Our game is problem solving, no matter what field of
play. If there is a question (it should be how to get the people interacting and how to make people feel like they are really a part of something worth while). We are the solution and results will be visible to all those that believe in what we do and like how we do things. Most of the artists in The Forum have a history in the hip hop scene and we understand the challenges facing the independent artists and our solution is placing our selves in the front line of things and being the prime example for the Underground which is creating new routes and not follow the norms of this music industry.

We gonna start moving a bit different when it comes to the shows from now on so we can have a bit more room for exciting things for you and yours to enjoy when you come to the Sessions.
1st Thing:
Our Open Mic Saturdays will be coming to an end as Free shows, as we have been announcing at the shows. Your support will help us cover logistics that continue to keep this great expression platform open for all artists to shine.
2nd Thing:
This weekend will be our last show without a line up so please come enjoy the last of great things to come.
3rd Thing:
The Head Nod Music Sessions Line Up opportunity for our first line up event on the 16th October is officially open!
Closing date Sunday, 9th October at 12pm

EVERY SATURDAY 5PM, TUNE INTO HEAD NOD MUSIC SESSIONS ON FACEBOOK & YOUTUBE FOR A LIVE (VIRTUAL) OPEN MIC!
Due to level 4 regulations emposed on us,
We'll host a Facebook & YouTube Live Open Mic Session every week at 5PM. Whether you want to listen to some incredible local music live from the comfort of your own home, or perform for a virtual audience, tune in with us!
If you're an artist:
DM the Head Nod Music Page before Thursday of the Open Mic!
We'll post the order of performances in our story by 12pm on Friday.
Please sign up by noon on the Thursday of the Open Mic to be added to the list for Friday ! Anyone who signs up after 12PM on Thursday will be pushed to the following week's Open Mic.
Come online at 5PM, hangout, and listen to your fellow musicians.
When it's your turn to perform, request to go live on Instagram with us and you'll be able to take over the feed for your performance.
Each performance is maximum 15mins long, just to ensure everyone gets a good chance to perform. We'll run the Open Mic for 1-3 hours. Play Original Music! Let's have a blast.
