“Bow wow, woof woof, bow wow wow…”

As you know, 2024 is the 50th anniversary of THE YEAR OF THE DIAMOND DOGS.

Today also happens to be the 20th anniversary of International Dog Day, founded on 26th August 2004 by Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert, Animal Rescue Advocate, Conservationist, Dog Trainer and Author, Colleen Paige.

David Bowie’s love of dogs is well documented, and he has been photographed with various pooches many times over the years.

But perhaps the best known of those pictures is his iconic session with Terry O’Neill for the promotion of Diamond Dogs.

We’ve posted a few of them here, along with the promo poster (slide 4) of Guy Peellaert’s original artwork based on one of the photos for what was going to be the inner gatefold of Diamond Dogs.

In the end, the beautiful decaying cityscape created by Leee Black Childers was used with the words of Future Legend overprinted.

If you are lucky enough to be owned by a canine of the hound variety, why not spend the day listening to Diamond Dogs together?

“Sustainability for me means being aware of our environmental, economic and social impact and promoting actions and consumption models that are able to give back to the Planet and future generations as much as possible. Sometimes we naively believe that our wonderful and fragile planet contains infinite resources. Working wise, when we are on set (plastic free) we recycle as much as possible, we limit the consumption of paper by using digital resources instead of printing, some of our suppliers use solar energy generators, we choose caterers that use food zero miles (from farm to fork), but there are many ways to work sustainable of course.”

The Immortal Awards has revealed the names of the advertising leaders who will sit on the 2024 Spain jury. The jury will convene on October 10th for the Spanish jury day. The jury will decide which projects, if any, will be crowned the best of Spanish advertising and go on to represent the market in the regional round of European judging.
