Victoria Redel reading 'Blood and Seed' by Peter Christopher, from his collected stories: Campfires of the Dead and the Living. After Victoria's reading, Bill Lessard grabbed me by the shoulder and looked at me seriously, "Andrew, holy sh*t, this is important." I discovered Peter's writing in 2009 in a back issue of a now-defunct journal. His bio in the back included where he was teaching, Georgia Southern University, and I immediately looked into transferring there from my school in Michigan. Unfortunately, I came a year too late. But I wasn’t completely lost, I had his stories--his sentences--so many lessons in craft and storytelling. Now, back in print, you have them too.
