… No, isn’t your typical rom-com 💭

It’s a layered, later-in-life coming-of-age story that gets real about love, healing, and self-discovery 🎬

Actors André Holland, DeWanda Wise, and Nicole Beharie deliver standout performances, bringing depth to a love triangle that feels refreshingly
mature 🌹

This one’s for the cinephiles, the romantics, and anyone who’s ever had to figure out
what they want vs. who they want 🖤

Taji Mag celebrates 10 years today! Vol 1 released on Dec 7th, 2014 as a response to our community wanting to support Black businesses but knowing how to find them after police executed Mike Brown in the street. We've dedicated our pages to Black imagery and Black stories.

Taji Mag is both a print and digital quarterly publication. Our print mags are tabletop collector’s items. We also regularly feature entertainment, businesses, and reviews in our online publication. Visit our website to subscribe, purchase past copies, or browse through articles. ✨️

We want to thank everyone who has been part of our Tribe over the last 10 years, and we look forward to many years to come! 👑

Gladiator 2 brings us back into the brutal world of Ancient Rome, but this time, it’s Denzel Washington’s portrayal of Macrinus that steals the show. ⚔️

Loosely based on the real-life emperor Marcus Opellius Macrinus, Washington’s character isn’t just a figure of power—he’s a symbol for the untold stories of Black figures in Roman history. ✊🏽

His rise from the ranks speaks to survival, ambition, and revenge. The film also shines with its gritty fight scenes, stunning set and costume designs, and immersive sound that transports you to the heart of the empire. ❤️‍🔥

This isn’t just an action flick—Gladiator 2 is a powerful narrative about identity, freedom, and the high cost of power.
