On the incident of the killing of Emirati soldiers involved in mercenary operations in Somalia by one of the mercenaries they were controlling, Somali Federal MP, Honorable Abdullahi Aden Kulane, perfectly eloquates these remarks:
“To the Emirati people: it was wrong for their men to be in Somalia in the first place.
The agreement between the UAE and Somalia Executive branch of the government did not go through proper channels, and it was not ratified by parliament to authorize the presence of Emirati troops in our country.
The reasons for the Emiratis being in Somalia were personal, aimed at enriching a few individuals and serving a mercenary agenda.”

حول حادثة مقتل جنود إماراتيين متورطين في أجندة المرتزقة في الصومال على يد أحد المرتزقة الذين كانوا يسيطرون عليهم، وضح النائب البرلمان الصومالي، سعادة. عبد الله آدم كولاني هذه الملاحظات بشكل دقيق:
”إلى الشعب الإماراتي: كان من الخطأ أن يتواجد رجالهم في الصومال منذ البداية.
ولم يمر الإتفاق بين السلطة التنفيذية للحكومة الإماراتية و الصومالية عبر القنوات الصحيحة، ولم يصدق عليه البرلمان للسماح بتواجد قوات إماراتية في بلادنا.
وأسباب تواجد الإماراتيين في الصومال كانت شخصية، تهدف إلى إثراء عدد قليل من الأفراد وخدمة أجندة المرتزقة.“
