Coincident, mid-side, concert bootlegger... What mic setup to use for this Retroversary Weekend? Breaking out my 20-year anniversary DAT field kit and matched-pair, small-diaphragm condensers to capture the air show rehearsals I get to watch from my kitchen. WWI and WWII enthusiasts experience and more as they use our empty skies before flying off to perform in regional festivities. Great for cinematic, production audio capture (I hope). Not so great for PTSD suffering humans AND animals.
