Where We Are and Where We Will Go
We are a small outfit with great expectations. These are separated into two: Tactical and Strategic reports. Tactical reports range in depth and breadth and are typically concurrent to a continually revised Strategic long-form brief along functional and regional lines. The weekly ReaperReport will notify subscribers of Russia related developments throughout the p
olitical, economic, military, and social spheres. Along with brief descriptions we will include a brief analysis or forecast as well as the executive summaries of the content published on Leksika in the course of that week. Our tactical reports will be timely, on-point, and concise contributions on Russia at a glance. The purpose here is to create an openly available source of background material and up to date analysis on relevant issues. Being founded by analysts with academic and professional experience in Russia and Eurasia, we take our cue from the field of intelligence analysis and utilize the same highly rigorous writing style and lexicon. You will not find dogmatic analysis and politicized editorials. We actively avoid sensationalist news and seek to contribute to a body of measured news that takes historical, economic, social, individual actor, and other factors into account when making an estimate of likely future developments. We recognize and actively work to minimize the biases inherent in human thought patterns. Our writing is a tool to accomplish this and minimize uncertainty when forecasting and analyzing the news for ourselves, our readers, and policy makers.
