This year we are publishing a series of 4 EPs bringing together the label's artists and other guest artists. This series of EPs is called "The Four Seasons Series".
A digital EP will be released each season with a specific theme. Today we are publishing the pre order of the first volume "INVERNO" which brings together 6 “techno” artists from Berlin, Buenos Aires, Montreal and Brussels.
The first song to listen to is that of the Berlin artist Antilophobia.
The rest arrives on March 18.

Klusā Daba new lp "Idiocratic Trance Music" is out today on Chez Kito Kat Records !
Digital is available on our bandcamp. Streaming on all platforms via our distributor Underscope.

ITM (Idiocratic Trance Music) is a commercial product resulting from the intensive modification of EDMmainstream samples. The album contains 99% loops from commercial “sample packs”. These sound objects are crushed, transformed and deconstructed to make a work with a synthetic and scintillating aesthetic. The use of initial materials that we hated, however, allowed the design of a coherent post-trance album with grainy textures and punchy synths. We want to challenge the excessive commercialization of music where each sound becomes a product and each preset a source of profit. This album allows us to question the relationship between sound and its use. A sound, today, is just an object that must be sold.

Shadya is a DJ and producer and resident for the Tempio Nero event series in Montreal. She is the founder and Label manager for Chez.kito.kat records since 2006 and has been involved in music through writing lyrics and poetry since 1996. She was part of the electro-synth pop band Beat For Sale as a singer and performer (2006–2014). At the same time, she toured as an artist in France, Canada, and the US. Her mixing explores the dark side of techno. She is currently working on new tracks and a live set. In addition to her work as an artist, she is a musical journalist for Panm360. She supports inclusive night life culture (MTL24/24, FANTOM), intersectional feminism, and fights against systemic racism.
