Elysian Comics
Jack Stepp is the creator, writer and artist of the ongoing graphic novel series The Elysian. Jack was first exposed to art through the local grocery store comic book rack. Learning from the work of artists like Larry Hama, Mike Zeck, and Greg CapulIo, Jack taught himself to draw. After studying art in high school he attended Lane Community College and Oregon State, where he earned a BFA studied everything from drawing to bronze casting. From there he went into teaching and has been a classroom art teacher for two decades. In that time Jack has dedicated much of his energy to investigating all types of Fortean topics, whether it’s researching the history of UFO encounters, or traveling the wilds of the Northwest searching for Bigfoot. His current area of interest is in the field of lost history. His work on The Elysian has taken a story that began as a traditional superhero comic book he created in his early teens and grown the story into a Science Fiction epic that incorporates breakaway civilizations, aliens, demons, and alternate realities. The characters have become real people with their own personalities and flaws. It has become a rich and intricate tale blending mythology, science, intrigue, and action. Jack is currently working on the next volume of The Elysian. Check out the series on Amazon.com or read it free on Kindle Unlimited.
