A recruitment piece Ideafarmfilms created for a leading manufacturer and supplier of wood components for the construction industry has been a huge success in revamping its recruitment effort.

In keeping with other films we've created for this client, we worked to convey through images and narration a key value proposition of the company’s: that its facilities are clean, well-lit and safe — not your father’s manufacturing plant — and that teamwork is at the very foundation of the company’s ability to create a quality product. What really comes across is the joy and pride the company's employees take in very challenging work.

The film, shot in facilities across Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky, has been viewed by thousands of people who’ve reached out to learn more about joining the rapidly growing company. The ideafarm promo features clips from various film projects for this client.

Our Story

ideafarm is a boutique film production company founded by writer/filmmaker team Gar and Beth Hoover. Our latest independent narrative film premiered at the Oscar-qualifying L.A. Shorts Film Festival and recently won its third Best Comedy award on the festival circuit. In addition to narrative films, ideafarm works with corporate, non-profit and entrepreneurial organizations to concept and create client-commissioned story-driven, cinematic short films designed to articulate the value of their organizations to stakeholders. We create branding films, customer success stories, case studies, product/process demos, online series and thought leadership videos that demonstrate the expertise of a client organization, the smarts of its people, the strength of its culture, and its importance to the communities it serves.

We are also award-winning writers whose feature and TV scripts have been named a winner or finalist by more than three dozen film festivals and screenwriting competitions.
