MY HUSBAND WENT ON A BUSINESS TRIP RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS—ON CHRISTMAS EVE, I FOUND OUT HE LIED AND WAS IN OUR CITY

So, two days before Christmas, my husband tells me that his boss called him for an urgent business trip to another city for a few days. Of course, I couldn’t argue—it’s his job, after all.

Fast forward to Christmas Eve. He calls to wish me a Merry Christmas. I wish him back and try to chat, but he suddenly cuts me off, yelling, “I can’t talk! I have to go now!” Go where? Late at night on Christmas Eve? Weird, right?

Then it hits me—BINGO! I remember I left my fitness tracker in his car a few days ago. I open the app on my phone, and guess what I see? HIS CAR IS PARKED AT A HOTEL RIGHT HERE IN OUR CITY!

Without thinking twice, I jump into my car and head straight to that hotel. And there it is, his car sitting in the parking lot!

JOKE OF THE DAY: Paul woke up with a huge hangover after attending his company’s Christmas party. He didn’t even remember how he got home from the party. As bad as he was feeling, he wondered if he had done something wrong.

He had to force himself to open his eyes, and the first thing he saw was a couple of aspirins next to a glass of water on the side table. Next to them, a single red rose! Paul sat up and saw his clothing in front of him, all clean and pressed. He looked around the room and saw that it was in perfect order, and spotlessly clean. So was the rest of the house.

He took the aspirins and cringed when he saw a huge black eye staring back at him in the bathroom mirror. Then he noticed a note taped to the mirror written in red with little hearts on it and a kiss mark from his wife in lipstick: “Honey, breakfast is on the stove. I left early to get groceries to make you your favorite dinner tonight. I love you, Darling!”

He stumbled to the kitchen and sure enough, there was hot breakfast, steaming hot coffee, and the morning newspaper. His son was also at the table, eating.

Paul asked, “Son, what happened last night?”

“Well, you came home after 3 a.m., drunk and out of your mind. You fell over the coffee table and broke it, and then you puked in the hallway and got that black eye when you ran into the door.”

Confused, he asked his son, “So, why is everything in such perfect order and so clean? I have a rose, and breakfast is on the table waiting for me.”⬇️

My life turned from a fairytale into a nightmare—all in one Christmas! I had everything: money, success, a wife, loyal friends. Life seemed firmly on track, but it was all a lie. I was on my way to a business meeting in Florida. Nicholas stepped out of the car when a man in a black suit approached us. He asked me to wait, leaving his phone in the car. Suddenly, his phone rang, and the contact "My Love" appeared on the screen… with a photo of my wife kissing my best friend. I picked up to confirm.

After that, I remember only a hit to the head and darkness. I woke up on the street in rags, without money, without a phone, lying on cardboard, freezing in the cold. People passed by, ignoring my pleas for help. I thought this was the end. And just when I could barely feel my legs from the cold, a voice suddenly spoke above me.

So, it's Christmas Eve, and my husband and I are busy getting ready to host friends for the holiday. In the middle of the whirlwind, I came across an old photo of my parents when they were young.
