Hidden Jukebox But "comforting" doesn't mean "unchallenging." We talk about how we first encountered the band and listen to a few songs together.

Jake Amster and Matthew Amster-Burton, two Seattle music nerds and brothers, start with a great 90s album (pop, alternative, hip hop, R&B, and more) and see where it takes them. ABOUT THE SHOW

Once a month, brothers Jake Amster (superstar) and Matthew Amster-Burton (author, podcaster, guitarist, and vocalist) sit down to talk about a comforting album or single from the 90s. These are albums and s

ingles that trigger nostalgia--the "hidden jukebox" inside our heads--but also hold up as great music. Sometimes we have a guest come on to talk about one of their 90s favorites. We listen to indie darlings and #1 hits, in genres from pop to hip hop to R&B to alternative rock and more. Every month on Hidden Jukebox, revisit an old favorite--or find a new one.

What I really wanna know is… have you listened to this month’s Hidden Jukebox episode?! We break down a true rock anthem of the 90s. This band was so cool. Say what you will about Lenny Kravitz, but he is a hell of a performer. We’ve got to hug, and rub-a-dub! https://www.hiddenjukebox.com/91

The New Jack Swing movement of the 90s created some of the biggest stars in the history of music. Perhaps none bigger than Boyz II Men. End of the Road was part of the soundtrack of high school dances and a showcase of the immense talent coming out of Philadelphia at the time. 4 singular voices that in collaboration sang as one. I still challenge someone to recite this bridge from memory. We know you can sing along to the chorus though. Check out this month’s episode of Hidden Jukebox! https://www.hiddenjukebox.com/90

Listen in as we discuss what makes Billy a born performer and how he hooked up with one of the best movie directors of our time to make a true work of art(?) https://www.hiddenjukebox.com/89
