Bela Lugosi's Dead - L'inno (immortale) dei Bauhaus

Nell'agosto 1979, Peter Murphy, Daniel Ash e i fratelli David J e Kevin Haskins, ovvero i Bauhaus, pubblicavano come primo singolo "Bela Lugosi's Dead", un lungo e sepolcrale "valzer" gotico che avrebbe inaugurato una carriera, la loro, fatta di album fortemente complessi e di sublimi performance dal vivo.

Chiamando direttamente in causa l'attore protagonista del film Dracula (1931), "Bela" ha ricoperto un ruolo fondamentale rispetto all'espandersi di una certa cultura del suono più prettamente "dark", finendo per penetrare direttamente il mondo di celluloide nel donare ai Bauhaus una storica apparizione nel lungometraggio di Tony Scott (fratello del più noto Ridley) Miriam Si Sveglia A Mezzanotte (The Hunger nel suo titolo originale), del 1983.

Ricostruendo il periodo che portò alla formazione del gruppo, questo libro rievoca la nascita di "Bela Lugosi's Dead", ovvero "l'inno (immortale) dei Bauhaus", portandone alla luce l'importanza storica e i suoi aspetti essenziali
