I want to sincerely appreciate Mr president Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for deeming it fit to converting Niger Delta ministry to Ministry Of Regional Development Commission with the birth of other new commission eg

South West Development Commission

Northern Development Commission.

And the existing NDDC Niger Delta Development Commission for South South.

I want to appeal to Mr president, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, South South Lawmakers at National assembly and other Niger Delta stakeholders to champion the call for review of NDDC appointment. Mr president should expulse other appointees from other regions off Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). Niger Delta is a coastal area, comprise of Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River... The name is not derived from Crude oil and Gas rather area linking to Atlantic ocean.
Except federal Government are indirectly telling us that Niger Delta people from south south will be appointed into South East Development Commission, South West Development Commission and Northern Development Commission to balance the equation, so that Niger Delta people (South South) will not feel cheated or been marginalized. We thank God that Crude oil has been discovered in the North and west of recently, so we advise federal Government and national assembly should do the needful, and possible review each allocation to the four Regional Development Commissions for the spirit of fairness and equity, afterall 13 percent oil & gas derivativation goes to each oil producing state not the new birth or the existing commissions.

Another sad incident

One dead, three missing as Seplat Drilling Rig "Majestic" collapsed in Delta State

According to Statement put out by Seplat Energy Plc, 92 of the 96-member crew are accounted for and safe, However, tragically one crew member lost his life during the incident, while three crew members are still missing

The incident happened on Tuesday at Ovhor in Delta State
