Wild Orchestras of Garden of Star is small world in Prague with wonderful sounding. Recordings On the Road enter to it with more than twenty five records! Try to listen West-östlicher. It observes – on two examples – the connection (harmony) of both Western and Eastern inspiration – with regard to rebirthful, harmonizing influence of widely perceived East. The ideal of East calm, environmentally-friendly rest in nature and brotherhood interpersonal relations stands in opposite to restless, internally disintegrated West. Against the secular West time, elusive and rapid, the East lives in the cyclical time, harmonized with the cycle of seasons. Oriental simplicity and reconciliation is alternated by West amaze, attention and action, which at the same time seduces to the superficial dilettantism. Have these approaches their sonic or music faces?

Do you like Antoine de Saint-Exupery? Abbé Brémond Ensemble prepared in 2006 several compositions - sound(e)scapes inspired by his novel Terre des hommes. Its tracks regard land from the perspective of aviator and revealed both touch of land and way leading outside - to the sky.

Abbé Brémond Ensemble celebrated its great muse - Finish writer and artist Tove Jansson - in two free improvisation in 2004 based on text of her book Bildhuggarens dotter.
"Voices, book and text became something similar to classical musical instruments (without losing its original meaning). Vocalists were browsing in the book and finding marked passages and reading them and musicians were behaving to them."

First solo album by Ká had been originally published in 2005 as a part of his split with Vincenc Holomek (Josef Jindrák). We republished it in 2015 with one bonus track. Long years before his experiments with field recordings the artist had reflected the similar themes - life, nature, war - and concentrated on a theme of woman and female sensation.
Listen his Dance for Jana Honzlová (rogation)!
The dance for the dancer Jana Honzlová is rogation not only for this character (from excellent novel by Zdena Salivarová), but also for all girls and women which were hurt by communistic totalitarianism. The dance is intuitive move between the reality and the sleep without dreams, between the constrained adulthood and the naive childhood; and its chording finale comes in the moment of the silent baptism near the monastery in Břevnov, Prague.

First original album that we've published is Sunblinking by Frequently Asked Questions. Four strong songs inspired Ká to this message to its author Milan Holeček: "I am glad that you are and you make your music. Yes, today there’s so much beautiful music, fewer in our country, but when I listen F. A. Q. I feel that I am not sitting in an ivory tower, but I am full in the right, horrid and lovely life – and I would like to write about your music in this sense."

The title means an abode of hermit and long and vast composition contemplates vision of invisible hermitage identified with all the places where the saint walks: "this sacred place draws the surrounding world into itself and let it to cleanse in bathe of choral of all those who praise God. The constant noise of the city floating in the greenery is, especially in the spring polyphony, shaped into a kind of approximate residence, where you can wait for a good word and a helping hand."

Pilgrims to the Kingdom of Heaven

We would like to inform you that we've just published new album by Ká called Pilgrims to the Kingdom of Heaven. It's really autumnal record because it both blends impressions and memories from summer pilgrimages and tends to balance not only composer's personal road, but our common experience of missing peace. - As Ká writes, "On my new recording, I observe - in a constant dialogue with nature as a source of memories (a kind of embodied memory) - the germinating war even in times of so-called peace, which reveals itself as a mere truce. The partial impressions are tied to various historical contexts, both implicitly and explicitly, and connect on a timeline, introduced by the end of the Second World War and closed by the second year of the current war in Ukraine." Dialogue with nature, historical experience and actual visions of an expanding war build the sonic net in which the pilgrim walks reaching the real Peace.

New album by Abbé Brémond Ensemble is here. I presents one electro-acoustic composition inspired by the first verses of the First Book of Moses (Genesis), which describes the beginning of the creation of the world. The words in the title mean "desolate and empty" (Gen 1:2) and refer to an unimaginable environment without time and without light.

New composition by Abbé Brémond Ensemble contemplates the moments of inner calming of pilot of the 311th Czechoslovak Bombing Squadron RAF (№ 311 Bombing Squadron), moments in which memories of a distant homeland blend with those of the experiences of the last days and in which the sounding of those free moments (for example those of Sunday) diffuse.

Another Spring

Recordings On the Road was founded in late 2014 as a platform for publishing old and new recordings by groups and projects connected with Milan Holeček and Ká and by their friends. At a regular monthly pace, the publishing house reached its hundredth recording, which is another split of the two creators. It brings two new electro-acoustic compositions by Ká and the last recordings of the Frequently Asked Questions recorded at their final concert in December 2022.
We enter the new hundred with the same program as at the beginning: we firmly want to publish only the works that immediately and initially (personally, newly) respond to life, and preferably those who turn to life facing all the risks that it brings, opening to it, experiencing it, arguing with it, or questioning it to become more familiar with it.
