LABEL BACKGROUND

DeepforestSA is an entertainment company based in Pretoria South Africa. The company was started by Jaguar paw the CEO in 2009 in a manner of distributing podcast mixes for deep house lovers the genre which is recognized internationally through social networks and other sites. The movement started having a huge following all over the world especially in SA where deep house music

is much alive. DJ Miggs was the first DJ to be featured on the deepforest mixes as a guest in2010. The website name www.deepforestSA.com was suggested by Jaguar paw in the beginning of 2011 as a way of reaching as more audiences all over the world. The website was created in April 2011 by Lebidike IT and Projects who offered their IT services to deepforestSA till current. Since the establishment of the website it has proven that deepforest has huge followers because the site reached 25000 hits at the end of december 2011 after being live from may 2011. The movement also introduced artists/producers in the company. In 2012 DeepForestSA hosted a tour for international house producer & Dj William Rodriquez better known as Reelsoul. Reelsoul is a producer of high calibre who had most of his work featured on cd compilations in SA compiled by a lot of SA famous Dj's the likes of Miggs , Deep Expressions , Terrence , Claude , Vinny Da Vinci . DeepForestSA hosted Reelsoul for a full 4 weeks from the 29th March 2012 – 22nd April 2012, this has seen DeepForestSA Receiving a 10/10 rating from Reelsoul & Sole Channel label owner the famous Mr V. DeepForestSA Introduced fresh new blood to the scene with the likes of Darque , Cubique DJ CB , Wishingsoul ,Kaylow,Garth & G-Rel, Bright Breeze, which saw the birth of a great album titled DeepForest Sessions vol.1 which is mixed by label CEO Jaguar Paw .

Straight out of the urban jungle that is Tshwane comes a mighty label with
an exquisite debut entry into the dance compilation stakes.


'Deep Forest Sessions' pulls together a spread of the brightest and deepest
beats from hot label prospect DeepforestSA, and it's tied together on the
turntables by the label's CEO, Jaguar Paw. He started DeepforestSA as an entertainment company in 2009 in Pretoria,
initially as a vehicle for distributing podcasts by the likes of DJ Miggs
and Vinny Da Vinci to a local and international audience which had started
to develop a serious appetite for South African house. Initially spreading these sounds via social networks, DeepforestSA broadened
their reach at the beginning of 2011with the creation of
www.deepforestsa.com . The website enjoyed
great success and also acted as a catalyst for the incorporation of artists
and producers into the company. This was bolstered when they hosted a tour by international house producer
and DJ William Rodriquez aka Reelsoul early in 2012, and he actually
features on this CD's sixth track by Darque & Reelsoul entitled Lovers &
Friends

2012 has been a bumper year for DeepforestSA: it's become a meeting place
for awesome artists like the ridiculously talented Darque (who remixed Andy
Compton on a previous House Afrika compilation, 'Kholofelo Remixed'),
deejays like Wishingsoul, and singers such as Kaylow, Howard, Garth and
G-Rel who are featured on the smash hit ‘’Inhliziyo yam’’ which got onto the Metro fm top 40 and on Oskido’s top 5 best count down songs of the year. The song is known to be the national anthem of the country as everyone singed along with the song and got a huge airplay on commercial and community radio stations in SA. As a follow up from our first single hit song Inhliziyo yam Deepforest is introducing its 2nd single called Lovers and friends feat the international singer, Dj and producer Reelsoul the song which it proved to become a prospective hit with the beautiful lyrics that will attract audiences to sing along with the song. This crew make up the core of the collective that's blazed out of the woods
and on to the world's dancefloors with the sumptuously-crafted
soulful-rhythmics of the eleven tracks on 'Deep Forest Sessions Vol. 1'. Suitable for both Saturday nights and Sunday mornings, the disc is deep,
delicate and dance-able - and no doubt destined for huge success.
