Last warning to our detractors!!

Last week the sponsors of violence in the county invited us for ceasefire talks over the crisis that they created. We however find their request to be amorphous and inchoate in many respects.

I wish they used that opportunity to let the criminal factotums in their circles know that their steps are being watched and that they are no longer relevant in the scheme of things in Kisii County. Soon, the people will come like a flood, they will raise a standard against the state-sponsored stupidity that is ongoing irregardless of the number of policemen they protect themselves with.

For far too long, they have taken our kindness for weakness. After all, it was John F. Kennedy who said, the hottest part of Hell should be reserved for all those who keep quiet in the face of moral crisis. I have worn the skin of a sheep but it is causing me more harm than good. It is about time I put the gubernatorial skin aside and remain the lion that I was born to be. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! I am not a coward.

To be a government Chief Whip is no mean feat. Nonetheless, it is only regrettable if a whip can act nonplussed as Osoro does. After the young man was given the position, he has lived in a fool’s paradise thereafter.

When I was elected governor, some of the herculean tasks besetting Omogusii that I was supposed to tackle were poverty, illiteracy, and clannish disunity among our people. I thought that was the only war that I was positioned to fight but it seems I thought wrongly. I didn’t know I was coming to fight unnecessary wars with some corrupt elected leaders who want to milk the county coffers dry. Since it is now Showtime, I have elected to take the bull by the horns. I want to take this opportunity to let those who have been fooling him by baptizing him with fake water of accolades to brace themselves.

It is high time we invoke the spirit of Otenyo and pour libations on the graveyard of George Moseti Anyona to the restoration of the dignity of our people. Osoro and his sponsors will not succeed in their archaic or primitive garrulity to put Kisii County in the unnecessary spotlight. Seemingly, I have maintained my mien as a focused man with a mission only to appear weak. I know Osoro is a drowning man trying to survive in his political debris. Regretfully, his actions have snowballed into a crisis that he cannot control.

Propelling the young ones to greater heights!

Today I issued bursary forms to residents of Nyaribari chache and Nyaribari masaba. Watoto wasome.

09/01/2024

Enough of Osoro’s childish conduct!

In William Shakespeare's ‘Measure for Measure,’ Isabella denounces the Duke’s deputy for being corrupted by power. Shakespeare narrates how power can corrupt fools.

Yesterday while issuing bursaries at Boikanga ward in South Mugirango, we were attacked by goons led by the area MP Hon Sylvanus Osoro who started shooting at us. The goons laid siege on the thousands of our poor people for upwards of 40 minutes.

Drunk with some little powers in his head, it seems Osoro the young boy has become so far gone that only human blood can assuage him for perceived anomalies. Equally, his masters do not seem to be equal to the task and flush out of him the childish propensities. It seems our silence has been mistaken for weakness until foolishness has been elevated to the art of governance. The fools are now taking the people for granted.

For far too long, Osoro has joyously placed a sharp axe in the roots of the peace tree with a brazen act of impunity with no one stopping him. Enough is enough! it is about time someone stopped this foolishness for posterity. The crass unbridled impunity that has consumed every aspect of Osoro’s thought process is making nonsense of the fight against the large-scale poverty among our people. We must stop the impunity that is reversing the progress this county has made so far.

It is pertinent to note that we have been stretched to breaking point by some idiot living in a fool’s paradise. Currently, the county of Kisii seems to be in a Hobbesian state where life is short, brutish, and nasty. The people are under persistent darkness, the villages are death traps and the people are under siege and helpless in the hands of an idiot who thinks he commands the stars. President Ruto’s deafening silence on Osoro’s torturous conduct is not only troubling but also telling.

Osoro’s character confirms he is a coward because he acquires ephemerals at the expense of others and their lives after death. Cowards die many times before their death. They intimidate the Valiants who want the best for society. The valiant never wimp but die once. The legacies of the valiants speak to the collective conscience of everyone.

Osoro should beware of the burdens of history. History is bunk. It is also a no respecter of anyone. When man refuses to learn from the ugly history, he is doomed to repeat it. Ugly history is hard, if not impossible to rewrite. We know he has a big hole in him where a sense of shame or guilt should be. I pity the fools that are drenching him and his factotums with the water of accolades.

Time will tell.

Following the grotesque scenes witnessed at Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay yesterday when our fans were attacked by Rungu wielding goons, we have embarked on the process of renovating our home ground Gusii Stadium. The contractor is on site and the works are ongoing. Very soon, our boys will play their home matches in their ground. I have directed the contractor to speed up the process and get the stadium ready as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

RUTO is a joker; Only RAILA can match KIBAKI
By Simba Arati, governor of the County of Kisii

When former President Mwai Kibaki died, the country lost one of her greatest sons. The news of his demise was painful. Kibaki was a man of impeccable character and passionate convictions. He was a soft-spoken bloke whom anyone would not love to hate. Under any stretch of the imagination, you cannot compare President Kibaki to this one who is currently suffocating Kenyans with taxes. Only Raila Odinga can match President Kibaki.

The late President Kibaki epitomized the dignity and respect a great leader should command. He was a tireless man who discomforted himself for the sake of others. He will go down in history as one of the most popular personalities in Kenya. Love him or hate him, he remains the best president Kenya has had.

The late Kibaki was an anti-corruption crusader. He hated corruption. He fought for the progress of his country. He always voiced his opinion freely. Unlike Ruto, the late Kibaki always strived to get his facts right before making a decision. His actions were always incomplete without buttressing them with unassailable facts.

Unlike Ruto who surrounds himself with his tribesmen, the late surrounded himself with great men and women. It is those intellectuals who helped him take crucial steps to eradicate poverty and grow the economy. With his economic skills, he taught Kenyans how to cut their coats according to their clothes. He educated them on how to live within their income.

Having previously served as minister for Health, he taught Kenyans the importance of family planning and living in homes they can afford, driving cars they can maintain, traveling only when there is need and not want, drinking smart, eating smart, and sending their children to schools they can afford.

He even made primary education free for everyone. As a result, Kenyans were happy.

Kenya lost her finest president ever. To the family of President Kibaki, always take heart and know that Kenyans share in your agony.

The late President Kibaki will go down as one of the most fearless sons of Africa. He was too determined to be defeated and too optimistic to be fearful. He was always surrounded by like-minded individuals. We shall remember him for his bravery. He always nurtured his conscience with truth and cared less about his character assailants.

President Kibaki ran the state with a trademark of excellence. Under Kibaki, Kenya was not only a center of economic excellence, it exported excellence. His courage confirms that he was better qualified and in the mould of Nelson Mandela, Charles de Gaulle, Dwight D Eisenhower, and Julius Sankara. He will be remembered as the man who rescued his nation from corruption and perpetual economic malfeasance.

The late Emilio Kibaki was an inspiration and an all-encompassing man who only understood the language of peace. His decorum and disposition were worth mirroring. He was well-read, astute, and intelligent.

President Kibaki’s character showed a disciplined leader with a fertile mind. He was firm, fair, and consistent despite all odds. Through hard work, he solved Kenya’s many problems. He was a statesman and a patriot. He will be remembered as the man who fought for the rights of the dehumanized, deprived, and voiceless Kenyans.

Our nation will remember Mzee Kibaki as a man who embarked on a unique journey to become a giant academician and an exceptional African statesman. His road to glory was rough but as a victorious warrior with the people as his ambassadors, his victory was assured.

The late Kibaki was, and will always be an inspiration, a shining light, and a mirror of the values that Kenyans believe in. He was a beacon of hope to millions of Kenyans and an example to power-hungry leaders.

Mzee Kibaki will be remembered as a forward-looking man with vision, courage, dependability, and proactiveness. This man single-handedly returned Kenya to the path of progress and good governance, accountability, and transparency.

As we celebrate Mzee Kibaki, we pray that the Almighty God grants his family the fortitude to bear this loss. Fare thee well, Mzee Kibaki.

Engineer Raila at 79; My birthday gift for Baba

Dear Baba Raila Odinga,

I believe this message is coming rather late and yet early: Likewise, I know it is too early to offer you advice on the next presidential election; Today I am celebrating your 79th birthday anniversary.

You know I have always extolled your integrity. I still consider the Kibaki-Raila regime to be the closest to the ideal leadership for Kenya. The only reservation I and a few others have is about age – the usual health problems that come with age but we pray for your good health, Sir. I would have preferred that vibrant Raila (who pointed us in the right direction years ago) and showed us how to banish corruption and indiscipline that have blighted the present and the future of Kenya.

Sir, now that Ruto has failed, it is time to raise your campaign funds and awareness. Money is very essential during elections. You will get my donation, and so will every other presidential candidate (including UDA candidate William Ruto) That’ll be my way of demonstrating my commitment to peace and fairness. That is not your birthday gift from me nonetheless. The gift I have for you is the message that follows;

Having run for this office five times, you ought to have understood how Kenyan elections are conducted and won in Kenya. You must have also discovered, as I have, that it is almost impossible for a person of integrity to scale all the hurdles placed in his way. The funds used to build parties, bankroll primaries, and campaigns are by no means clean especially when you are facing a man of questionable character like William Ruto.

Now that Ruto has failed Kenyans, 2027 offers the brightest chance for you to win. To get there, however, you should assure all former and current thieves in government that they won’t be probed. And I want you to forgive them from the depth of your heart. In your twilight years on earth, you just have to forgive all. Nobody can even trace how the nation’s wealth was/is plundered because there are no accurate records to rely on. On getting to office, appeal to the looters to invest their loot in Kenya to create jobs. Don’t look at the rear mirror. Kenya can still be rescued.

Baba, I know many of your admirers and supporters might be afraid of queuing behind you for the sixth time because they have seen no sign that the election will be free and fair. Your opponent will capitalize on this fear to intimidate the majority of voters who have been incapacitated by poverty and are therefore ready to sell their voter cards for just enough money to fetch them the next meal.

Among those that lack the courage to work for free polls are IEBC officials all of whom are appointed by the government in power. A primary indicator of Kenya’s unwillingness to conduct credible polls is IEBC’s dependence on the ruling party. Why, for instance, can’t IEBC ensure internal democracy in the parties? What happened to its rule on campaign financing limit? How many electoral offenders purportedly arrested in previous elections have been prosecuted and jailed?

The other arm used for rigging is composed of “security” agents. Again, many of them that support you inwardly are handicapped. They obey their superiors because they have no other job with which to fend for their families. Some would be used to sn**ch and stuff ballot boxes. Some would mark thousands of ballot papers or supervise those who would do so in remote villages, schools, forests, caves, and even in shrines. Ethnic and religious sentiments move many of our people. Remember they are hollow gimmicks employed by dishonest politicians who neither worship God nor protect their tribes as they purport. But Kenya is still far behind. So pay attention to them. On a running-mate headache, I would advise you to get your alter ego (preferably a woman like Martha Karua) from the Mountain. I expect you to do only one term – the Mandela way – during which you would set the country on the path of progress and groom your deputy to take over from you.

Your election in 2027 will serve as compensation for the suffering that you’ve undergone for this nation to be where it is. You have ample chance to defeat Ruto by a wide margin in a free and fair poll. All you and your party need do is give IEBC a close marking. I know on voting day, the entire Rift Valley may be overrun by tanks and “gallant” troops (who now flee on sighting Pokot bandits). In most parts of your strongholds, 99 percent of voters may “cast” their votes. However, ballot boxes may be delivered to fish inside rivers and to ancestors in the great beyond. But will be taken care of when the right time comes.

Sir, as early as 2026, let us begin by picking no fewer than 92,600 trusted people who will man all the existing 46,232 polling stations in the country. Let us ensure that each of them owns a phone and can be traced. From there, we then place them on salary. IEBC must not be allowed to recruit ad-hoc staff alone. Since it won’t go to the moon to get them, let parties provide many of the needed staff. Before the polls, IEBC should make available an authentic voter register in each polling center. Our agents should have a copy each so that any variation on the voting day would be easily detected and tackled.

Best wishes, Engineers Raila Odinga, as you mark your birthday today. May God guide and protect you as you prepare to perform your last duty to your country from August 10, 2027.

I take this opportunity to condemn the ugly incidents that occurred yesterday at Raila Odinga Stadium, Homa Bay where peaceful Shabana FC fans were attacked and injured. It is really shameful because football is supposed to be a sport that brings people together. I call upon investigatory organs to move with speed and bring to justice the culprits that were caught on camera hitting innocent fans with rungus. I urge our Shabana FC fans to remain calm as we ensure justice is served. I'll personally to ensure the criminals are arrested.

WE DON'T FEAR RUTO; He is incompetent!
By H.E. Hon Paul Simba Arati, Governor of the County of Kisii

Based on reactions, Kenyans with good intentions will be at the forefront of ensuring that this government goes home in 2027. All signs and indications are sure signs that God has rejected this Ruto administration owing to its unpardonable transgressions and anti-people undertakings.

During campaigns, Ruto regaled the poor plebs with false hope and fake promises. Where is that hope now 2 years after being elected?

As of now, Kenyans have every reason to change this government that has no clue about their problems. This government has no business being in office.

The fact that the nation is again in an economic blackout shows that this government is hard at hearing. The recent sharp increase in electricity and fuel tariffs by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) confirms that the way out of the woods is far from being near. No matter what they may say, I contend that there is no justification for further increases in fuel and electricity tariffs at this time.

What this country needs more than ever is a visionary pilot in Baba whose bipartisan efforts, cross-sector support, resilience in the face of obstacles, and singularity of focus will raise and put our country on the path of growth again. Clearly, Ruto does not represent the face of change in Kenya.

Based on how he packaged himself, Ruto deceived the gullible that he was widely acclaimed both at the local and international levels. He successful managed to make them think he possessed the Midas touch that was supposed to ensure growth and speed up our progress.

Hustlers elected Ruto thinking he was more poised to give the anti-corruption commission the needed impetus to end the stealing and misuse of their commonwealth. They thought he was coming to strengthen the judiciary and provide it with adequate resources, reform the security sector, and ensure that the teaming population benefits from the country’s abundant natural resources. They thought wrongly. The man has let them down completely.

The inability or unwillingness of the Kenya Kwanza administration to checkmate the history of impunity for very serious crimes has emboldened politicians to continue to engage in acts inimical to the growth and development of our country. In future, Kenyans must ensure they elect a President who will not only dismantle this architecture of impunity but rebuild our society based on the rule of law.

Ruto is watching while its officials are plundering the nation’s treasury to near zero. This is an administration that goes prodigal with our resources only to slam austerity measures on the poor masses at the slightest economic shocks. This is a government whose policies or lack of it have sufficiently hampered industrial our growth

Kenya as well as its economy is now sitting on a precipice – and nobody needs a Kwame Owino to know this. In slightly over a year since the KK administration took over, taxes have been increased but the managers of the nation’s economy are singing a new song every day. While these plutocrats in power fight or quarrel over the people's commonwealth, the rest of us watch helplessly. If you can’t beat them, join them? We can’t beat them but we can’t even join them.

You see, under the Ruto administration, his men are leading Hollywood lifestyles yet their legitimate income is far less than their actual spending. Who is fooling whom?

The unhidden truth is that Ruto's friends were positioned to amass wealth once they get into office. It’s not a crime to steal under Kenya Kwanza administration, and that’s why no big thief ever goes to jail despite their fingers being caught in the national cookie jar.

Once a thief lands in a Kenyan court, the story ends there. You’ll read later that the accused was found innocent because the prosecution could not prove beyond reasonable doubt that he stole. Ha! What nonsense is this?

Although the people have endured this tribulation right from the Kenyatta and Nyayo eras, I don’t think the country can take it anymore.

Kenya is bleeding because a few rapacious, lazy and unproductive elite have elected to descend on its commonwealth while the majority of plebeians who pay taxes are suffering.

We are at such a crossroads right now. But in the midst of the despair, the listlessness, the anxiety, the what-happened-to-us and what-the-hell-is-going-on, you can’t miss the fact that the average Kenyan has not completely lost his bounce.

In this country, the people are determined to live no matter what. Hidden damage already done to hustlers is that nobody aims to engage in productive activities anymore. Not even the jobless desire to engage in honest activities for honest pay any longer. Under this administration, the so-called hustlers are not attracted to farming or small-scale enterprises because believe they can earn a lot more by becoming thugs for politicians. Others have taken others have taken to heinous activities just to survive.

Meanwhile under this administration, public “servants” who consume up to almost 70 percent of the nation’s revenues are practically useless. Year after year since Ruto took over, the sing-song from him has been about cutting public expenditure by sacking government workers, but they have not found the courage to touch the jumbo pay enjoyed by his friends that contribute nothing to the nation’s development.

2027 henceforth, Kenyans will rather vote for a forward-looking candidate with a pedigree of courage, vision, proactiveness, dependability, and a shrewd manager of their commonwealth than a profligate, visionless, and laid-back candidate in the name of Ruto aka continuity.

We are at a crossroads and the way we will cast their votes going forward will determine whether Kenyans are ready to leave Egypt for the Promised Land or stay in Egypt and dine with the oppressive Pharaohs aka the Rutos. Asked, I can countenance that Kenyans will choose the former over the latter. We will not worship Ruto and we do not fear him. The suffering of Kenyans must come to an urgent halt.

ONLY RAILA CAN SEND RUTO HOME IN 2027
By H.E. Hon Paul Simba Arati, Governor of the County of Kisii

We all know that our only beacon of hope for our time is His Excellency Hon Raila Odinga, our beatitude. Raila is the only quintessential bloke who will shape this troubled nation for posterity and good governance for the good of mankind. by any stretch of imagination, Baba is a true icon of inspiration. He is a peaceful leader who only understands the language of peace as a panacea to Kenya’s upheavals.

Kenyans love and adore Raila Odinga for his venerability. The fact that he is all-encompassing automatically buttresses the popular notion that he is a man of the people. To him, plebeians come first. Raila’s decorum and disposition towards the vulnerable plebs are worth mirroring. Baba is astute, well-read, intelligent, and all-inclusive in his service and sacred assignments to humanity. With the capability to fix two machines at one go, Baba is an ambidextrous engineer par excellence.

Come 2027, it is only Raila Odinga who will rescue Kenyans from the sharp and dangerous jaws of the hazardous Ruto administration. Since Ruto took over at the helm of affairs, his regime has been anything but peaceful and incorruptible. What a shame! Nonetheless, under peaceful, free, fair, and credible elections, Baba will redeem his children from the shackles of perpetual slavery and say kwaheri to the champions of evil cause that have long thrown them into economic, political, and social captivity.

Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the U.S. defined democracy as “the government of the people by the people and for the people.” The Western democracy is the antithesis of the democratic norm in Kenya. Under the Ruto administration, our democracy is too primitive, thus best redefined as ‘a government of the fools by the fools and for some fools.’ Renowned Professor P.L.O Lumumba once said, “African leaders are too primitive and greedy to allow the wheels of democracy to freely roll.” This axiom is apt to the primitive accumulation of wealth by sociopath leaders in this regime. Unlike the Ruto administration where a few powerful but pesky political parasites and vultures hold sway and suck the blood of innocent Kenyans without shame or remorse, democracy under President Raila will truly be the government of the people, by the people, and for the people and never a government of the mighty, by the mighty and for the mighty.

Those hurling nonsensical oral stones trying to indicate that Raila will be old at 82 in 2007, and therefore should support some lily-livered fellows, have not availed themselves of the lessons of history. Did South Africans consider Nelson Mandela to be 74 when they elected him to rescue their country from disintegration? Is it not the late Madiba’s fertile wisdom that has continued to guide and guard the Rainbow Nation in its journey to greatness? Didn’t the U.S. recall the 73-year-old Ronald Reagan to save it from the crippling effects of economic depression? Again when America was confronted with a bitter war and economic depression, didn’t they find solace in a retired General, Dwight Eisenhower, who helped them win the war and returned the country to the path of progress? Remember the French found their own Moses in retired General Charles de Gaulle when they were bedeviled by war and a depressed economy. Abdoulaye Wade of Senegal was first elected President at age 74 in the year 2000. The current President of the United States is soon turning 82, the same age Baba will be in 2007.

Is Kenya not economically malnourished? Is Kenya not at war? Besides Raila, who is better qualified and in the mold of Mandela, Reagan, Eisenhower, and Gaulle to rescue this nation from war, corruption, and economic malfeasance?

Baba is the most popular personality in Kenya today Those expecting him to endorse some lily-livered fellow will be in for a rude shock. Raila is tested and proven. Only the guilty ones hate his guts, Spartan discipline, and incorruptibility and they are quick to infuse his past with muck and try to rake it up. Despite everything, Mzee stands solidly like a rock of Gibraltar. He is the only politician who is reputed not to be skittish or indecisive about his responsibility once it is incumbent on him to act. Baba acts with the speed of light. He is very quick to decide on the next course of action. Raila is the only Moses who is ready to get Kenyans out of the allegoric Egypt and lead them to the promised land.

Raila always displays a befitting maturity by respecting even those who steal his victory. He has exhibited sterling and presidential qualities by keeping mum about Ruto’s abusive persona. His fertile mind is commendable. Raila’s actions also show a disciplined political father figure, a man who is firm, fair, and consistent despite all odds. Baba is a quintessential and indefatigable strongman. He continues to shape our polity for good. That is the true genius of a leader. Brace yourselves for a Raila Presidency in 2027.

Happy New Year 2024 to you all and may the lord answer your prayers.

01/01/2024

Fellow Kenyans, as we start a brand new year 2024, let us pray for this nation. Since independence, we have seen governments and Presidents but we have never seen tribalism taken to these levels. President Uhuru warned you but you didn't listen. Hopefully as we start another year, we pray that God wil touch the majority shareholders in this administration and they will include other Kenyans in their government.
