En este segundo volumen sobre el impacto de Elvis Presley en España, el autor analiza la imagen del cantante en nuestro país desde su vuelta a los escenarios en 1970 hasta el año 1990. En la década de los 70 vuelve a ser retratado de manera desafortunada a nivel general, a pesar de sus grandes éxitos, como la emisión del especial televisivo "Aloha From Hawaii" de 1973 y una discografía enormemente brillante. Encontraremos también en este volumen una defensa encendida del Rey ante libros como el de Gaspar Fraga y otros que aparecieron tras su prematura muerte en 1977 y que están llenos de inexactitudes e imprecisiones. A pesar de ser la más cercana temporalmente, esta etapa de la vida de Elvis es quizá la más desconocida.
El autor, Rubén Olivares Rosell, apoyado por una bibliografía y hemeroteca extensas, analiza en profundidad las contradicciones, la falta de criterio y el encomiable entusiasmo de los fans españoles para reivindicar la figura de Elvis Presley y su inmenso legado.
