Whoa......

We wanted to let you all know this weekend’s shows will be the last for FivePoint Amphitheatre.

Our venue was always planned to be a temporary location to keep live music in Irvine until a new permanent venue could be developed with the city. However, this doesn’t make saying goodbye any easier. Due to FivePoint residential development, there will no longer be road access or parking for the venue, making fan and production logistics unfeasible.

If the City decides to build a new home for concerts one day, Live Nation will always stand ready to support. In the meantime, we are exploring options to bring a new venue to the broader Orange County area.

For now, we’d like to thank all of the artists and crew who’ve brought the magic of live music to Irvine for over 40 years. And thank you to the millions of fans who came out to make that possible. We made countless memories together, and we hope you enjoy thinking back on those times as much as we do.

Rip to a true Radio Legend! Art Laboe, This man loved to be behind the mic. and was a radio pioneer!!!

It is with deep sadness we report the passing of Art Laboe, legendary pioneering radio icon and music veteran, the man who coined and trademarked the phrase "Oldies But Goodies™," he was 97. He died peacefully at his home in Palm Springs, CA on Friday night, October 7, 2022 after a short case of pneumonia.

Condolences to Art’s legions of fans, family, friends, and colleagues.
September 2022, marked 79 years as a radio performer marking the longest continuous period of broadcasting service.

Art Laboe's legacy will endure as his team will continue to produce his current nightly request and dedication syndicated radio show, The Art Laboe Connection, which is heard on 93.5 KDAY/Los Angeles Sundays from 6pm-midnight, and weeknights from 9pm-midnight on KOCP/Oxnard, KQIE/Riverside-San Bernardino, KMRJ/Palm Springs, and many stations throughout the Southwest.

A memorial service will be announced later.
