The Azaad Fankaar Initiative is a project by citizens of India and Pakistan who wish to uphold the principles of cultural exchange. Rather, it should be a tool for bringing people together amidst cries of war on both sides of the border. The initiative brings people of the two countries together to collaborate on poetry. A couple of verses by someone on one side, a couple by someone on the other.

While the two neighbours ban each other's artists and entertainment in tit-for-tat measures, this collaboration is a symbolic gesture to make our stand clear: exchange of art must remain uninterrupted at all times.
