UR’s steadily growing catalog includes D3’s Over The Edge and Off World, Pat Hall’s Time Remembered and K3rnel PaN1C, Jack DeSalvo’s Sudden Moves, Lewis Porter’s Trio Solo, Julie Lyon's Julie, Pat Hall's Time Remembered and many other important recordings. Prominent composer/improvisers on UNSEEN RAIN include pianist and shakuhachi master Steve Cohn, saxophonist Chris Kelsey, trombonist Pat Hall, trumpet visionary and bass clarinetist Matt Lavelle, drummer Tom DeSteno, bassist Lee Marvin, pianist Bob Rodriguez, saxophonist and clarinetist Blaise Siwula, guitarist Jack DeSalvo and others. Some important ensembles on UR are Happy House, D3, SOS, K3rnel PaN1C and River Road. Innovators like percussionist/drummer Tom Cabrera brings powerful transcultural elements, widening UNSEEN RAIN’s sonic landscapes. UR’s productions are done in a few select studios, primarily recording and mastering engineer Jim DeSalvo’s Beanstudio, Tom Tedesco’s Tedesco Studio or in special locations or live in performance by Gene Gaudette. Honoring the impact that the LP album cover had in its heyday, Qua’s Eye Graphix creates artwork panels, with titles, credits and tracklistings that are included with the music downloads. Another sister label (all under the umbrella of mEyeFi) is foUR Records – friends of UNSEEN RAIN. foUR exists to create a forum for important recordings that were produced independently of the UR staff. Artists on foUR include visionary guitarist/composer Dom Minasi, Chicago-based drummer Jimmy Bennington and Twin Cities guitarist Joel Shapira.
