YouTube will now replay ads if you break eye contact with your phone....😒
As a marketing agency, even i think this is ridiculous..
But for businesses - this ensures your ads are getting the full attention you pay for.
Do I agree with it? Absolutely not - but if its happening you might as well try to see the bright side as a business owner and take advantage - these things will likely start being pushed out to other platforms as well - especially with apples integration with chat gpt.
As business owners - you need to innovate with the times, so jumping on ads (even if you hate ads yourself) is the easiest way to ride the innovation wave and make sure you get a piece of the revenue.

ALERT:
DONT BOOST ANY POST THROUGH YOUR APP!
Whether its IG or FB - A few people have reached out asking about boosts charges - so this is a PA - Ever since Feb. 2024, Apple charges 30% of adspend on any post that you boost.
Why? Its considered an in app purchase....its total garbage - they take 30%...30! Just because you boosted it on their app - this doesn't go towards your adspend, it doesnt help you get likes, views, or impressions - it does NOTHING. So if you spend $100, apple gets $30, just for doing it on the app...
Ways Around Paying 30% extra - there are a few, but the easiest one - boost it from your laptop from your web browser. Literally just go to instagram.com or facebook.com and sign in and do it. Better would be through meta ads but thats a few more steps. Ill outline this and more in my group by friday

Nothing like driving home after a great gym session and having a client tell you they had a big win today: 4 leads in one day, totaling 8 leads in under 2 weeks of running FB/IG ads! It only gets better as we continue to train the data model - pumped to see this one skyrocket month 1 🙌

I'm sure you all got the message from Amazon prime that they will now have ads, and if you don't want ads you have to pay extra.
I timed it out - right after it was announced - the ads were 15 seconds long.
4 days later it was 30...
now a month later it's at 1.5 minutes...
It sucks, I know - but what you have to understand as a business owner is this is the new frontier and can explode your reach to your customers.
ALL major companies store your data - Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, the list goes on....but they are all free for you to use.
You know why?
Its because YOU are their asset - by collecting user data and knowing your searches, shopping trends, and all sorts of other variables, they are able to sell YOU to companies so they can shoot off ads for things you are searching for (I have a funny story about this with Target that I learned getting my masters in data analytics - google 'target data analytics pregnancy lawsuit')
Now, is it an invasion of privacy? The world is asking that question, but think about it, we are all very different, and personally if I only see ads for things I'm interested in, then that 1.5 minutes is very well spent bc it peaks my interest.
This is the world we live in, and its only getting more finely tuned. So as a business owner, you can utilize this power of 'big brother' and shoot off your ads with your offer (the offer is critical to get people to click), and you can reap the rewards.

A question I see come up often is how does organic marketing work?
Let’s think of it this way - let’s say you’re a brand new hvac company - you probably did your research on what other hvac companies are charging, offers on new installs, etc. and you priced competitively.
You have to run organic marketing to really test your offer. This varies state to state, community to community.
How? Here’s a few ways:
1) scan your local fb groups for keywords such as ‘heating’ or ‘AC’ not working and respond with not just your offer, but a little background (ie. Were a family owned business that’s been serving (community) for x amount of years (story + offer)
2) adding friends that are from your local community - so when you post on your business profile they see it (brand awareness)
3) network network network - we’re talking about going to business meetups (checkout meetup.com) and network with other businesses - genuinely meet others and be inquisitive, and drop them a business card offering a % off services for any of their employees
4) sponsorship - you can buy a local kids soccer team new water bottles, jerseys, etc. for a small amount, and all of those parents will appreciate you did so and will use your business if the need comes up
Through these organics, you can hone in on your offer - this means you have beta tested a few different offers (ie. $ off service, free services included ie free tuneups for 2 years, be creative and think what people want or need)
Once you found an offer that catches consumer eyes, and it’s proven to work (over time) then you can blast that offer with paid ads.
Never just start with paid services, always do organics first bc this is how to test your offer and it costs you nothing but time. Gotta be hungry - it takes effort - but then you can multiply those efforts with a paid marketing service (you still need to keep up with organics to a certain point). There is AI software out there that helps and can ease the burden, but I strongly suggest you put the leg work in first so you know how the basics run.

I’ve seen plenty of ad copies. A general rule of thumb is you want to stick out from the ordianary - meaning you dont want to use what everyone else is using. You want something eye catching but gets your message across. Now, videos always see better results than photos, however copy style is still effective. But if you to want to use them - be creative.
Here’s an example of an ad for the superbowl I threw together from AI’s results on my last post - HVAC in Missouri - and you can do it too!
Just generate a photo (this was done with bing designer) and then load it into canva. Canva has plenty of free tools you can use to make your own eye popping ads. This was a quick and dirty version but you get the point. Don’t be afraid to stand out!

For those of you who havnt seen hvac localized ads before, here is an example (I would def. Change this since there’s no offer or urgency in the message just fyi)
You know when you google or search something how suddenly you see an ad for it? - that’s fb ads
Even better for service based businesses - using a geo based targeting system.
What does that mean? When people in your community / service area are searching for an hvac pro, searching new ac / heating systems, etc.- Your business shows up on their feed.
Whenever I’m searching for something house related that needs work done and I see a local business ad pop up obviously I’m going to check out their site since it did the searching for me.
I see a lot of SBO’s posting their business cards on their profile or posting it into groups - which don’t get me wrong is a GREAT way to kick off organic growth. The power behind shooting that same post into an ad though? It’s STAGGERING - the amount of people you reach is 10x what your regular outreach does, it just makes more sense since people are already searching for your business niche, so why not put your business right in front of them?
The work doesn’t stop there though - you still need to contact your leads within a certain time frame, and follow up with leads (something I coach how to do).
I get it, trust is a huge factor and let’s face it, fb has a lot of scammers (I get maybe 10 messages a day) so as my mission is to help SBO’s, I’m offering a risk free way to get your feet wet - if you don’t see an equal or GREATER return on your ad spend (amount of money you pay fb for ads) then you won’t pay an agency fee, period.

This is my home state and let me tell you, I def only ate lobster while working 😅 jk thats so random, but the prompt said to include local celebrities, anyone of y’all recognize who that could be in the background?
The other two are done using an updated render software, dang us boston folks are looking good in the eyes of AI 💪😂
