MAKING THE HEADLINES IN 2023
WORLDWIDE PANIC has announced that they have entered the studio to start recording their next album with the renowned executive producer, Bob Marlette, who is known for his work with Black Sabbath, Marilyn Manson and Rob Zombie, is expected to bring his expertise to the table.
Front man LANE STEELE [pictured] expressed his admiration for Marlette, saying that he has been a fan of his for years and that he believes Marlette is the perfect fit for this project.

2024 TOUR CANCELLED
MAGNUM have been forced to cancel their European tour, that was due to kick off in April 2024.
Here‘s a message from guitarist Tony Clarkin:
“I‘m afraid I have some bad news for you guys. Over the past year or so I have been bothered by increasingly bad pains in my neck and head. For a long time the docs could not work out why, but now they have found out and it‘s gonna mean some changes.
I have developed a rare spinal condition. It‘s not life-limiting, but it can be degenerative in some people, and sadly it‘s not curable. There are treatments that may help but we don‘t know how good they‘ll be.
With the nature of touring and the weight of electric guitars this means there‘s no way I would be able to play the scheduled shows in the spring. We've taken the decision to cancel the tour, rather than mess anyone around trying to postpone in the hope things might get better in the short term. Bob did not feel it would be right doing it with a dep at this time.
This is not gonna be the end of Magnum, but the future might have to be a bit different, so please bear with us while we try and figure out what I can and can‘t do moving forward.
I‘m really sorry for everyone who‘d already bought tickets, it goes without saying that I‘m absolutely gutted that I‘m not gonna be able to play for you.
Cheers and I hope I‘ll be able to see you all again soon.

2024 NEW ALBUM RELEASE
KORPIKLAANI have announced the name and release date of their upcoming new studio album, RANKARUMPU, which is due to be released on April 5th, 2024.
The new album was executed with recording / mixing engineer and producer Janne Saksa. It seems that the collaboration between the band and Saksa has reached a whole new level with RANKARUMPU.
vocalist/guitarist JONNE JARVELA states "When I started to come up with the material for Rankarumpu, I set myself a goal. A couple of previous records, especially Kulkija (2018), were a bit slower as a whole, so this time I wanted to benefit from a bit faster tempos - a bit like the old Korpiklaani."

2024 THE ROLLING STONES SINGLES BOX SET RELEASE
ABKCO Records will release THE ROLLING STONES SINGLES 1966-1971 on February 2nd 2023.
The limited-edition set includes reproductions of 18 7” vinyl singles and extended play records by “The World’s Greatest Rock ‘n’ Roll Band,” as originally released by Decca, London Records and ABKCO Records.
The collection serves as a second volume and companion to THE ROLLING STONES SINGLES 1963-1966 (ABKCO, released in 2022). All tracks were remastered by 13-time Grammy Award-winning engineer Bob Ludwig and the discs are manufactured by Third Man Pressing in Detroit.
The set, replete with period-correct picture sleeve art, comes with a 32-page book containing extensive liner notes by Stones authority Nigel Williamson, as well as rare photos and ephemera, plus a set of five photo cards and a poster, all housed in a hard-shell box.

THE 69 EYES released their 13th studio album, DEATH OF DARKNESS, on April 21st 2023 via Atomic Fire Records, which galvanised both fans and critics all around the world.
Thanks to their latest masterpiece, they have just been nominated for Finland's EMMA GAALA (Finnish Grammy Award equivalent) in the BEST ROCK category.

BAD TOUCH ‘Bittersweet Satisfaction’ MARSHALL
Bad Touch have released their eagerly anticipated new studio album ‘Bittersweet Satisfaction’ via Marshall Records.
The album was self-produced by the band and recorded at The Marshall Studio in Milton Keynes, UK. It was engineered by Marshall’s Adam Beer and Ollie Brightman and mixed by producer Romesh Dodangoda.
The big question relating to the band self-producing this new album, is, does it cut the moo-stard [LOL]. Well, let me give it a listen and report back my findings, for you, the one reading this review.
Right from the off, the first track SLIP AWAY comes across as a full-blown Rocker and motors along quite nicely, of that there is no doubting.
Up next is the cut, THIS LIFE, which definitely gets the foot tapping in no time at all and features quite a catchy chorus and music to match.
As for the other tracks on offer - BITTERSWEET SATISFACTION, TASTE THIS, TONIGHT, SEE IT TO BELIEVE IT and DIZZY FOR YOU, Well, they deliver what has gone before i.e. catchy chorus’ and music to an impressive effect, natch.
When it comes to the likes of SPEND MY DAYS, NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT and COME BACK AGAIN, the band reign themselves in and not go and Rock-Out for all they are worth, however, they make for an interesting listen and really show they can hold your attention by downplaying their impact with a more laid-back feel/vibe.
In summing up, this newie from BAD TOUCH entitled ‘Bittersweet Satisfaction’ is most definitely worth checking out and giving it quite a few listens, to really pick up on what songs hold your attention, throughout, the more Rocky or the more laid-back ones, it depends on what you like.
