NBC - Nation Broadcasting Corporation NBC 1963 to 1996 a chronicle Nation Broadcasting Corporation(NBC) was founded by Abelardo "Abe" Yabut, Sr.

He started with an AM Station in Zamboanga City in 1963 using a surplus transmitter he acquired from Deeco Electronics. The station had the last three letters of the alphabet - DXYZ- but it was a foreboding of bigger things to come. With already a string of 10 AM stations in provincial areas, in 1973 he put up DWFM/fm 92.3 in Manila, his first entry to the nation's capital. In 1975, under his lead

ership, NBC established the first FM station in Cebu City (DYNC/fm 101.9) and in the same year, pioneered in FM in Davao City with DXFM/fm 101.9). In 1996 NBC has grown to become a nationwide network of AM & FM stations: 16 AM stations and 13 FM stations in 20 cities.

The station had the last three letters of the alphabet - DXYZ- but it was a foreboding of bigger things to come. With already a string of 10 AM stations in provincial areas, in 1973 he put up DWFM/fm 92.3 in Manila, his first entry to the nation's capital. In 1975, under his leadership, NBC established the first FM station in Cebu City (DYNC/fm 101.9) and in the same year, pioneered in FM in Davao City with DXFM/fm 101.9).
