Patience is necessary when building fly rods! More often than not you may find that the excitement of almost finishing or getting to the river will come to mind and trigger some sort of brain function that tells us to rush. When you are willing to take an extra second either to clean up a wrap or redo a section it will always pay off well in the end. Learning to slow down is something to be learned and is an art form in itself 🎣

Just finished this fly rod in the last week and am stoked to get out and use it! This rod is a 9 foot 5wt with medium-fast action. This build was a difficult one due to the challenges of trying some new techniques, but now that it is done I could not be happier with it’s finished look!
