Once upon a time, there was a little girl who loved her Heavenly Father to pieces. As she grew that love also grew. She bounced through high school and college sharing her testimony with as many as would listen. But she wanted to share that love she felt with others full time, so when she was 21, she went to Japan to preach the gospel. It was quite hilarious in fact that she got called to Japan because she was terrible at learning another language and had A.D.D so bad. She couldn't study for more than about 5 minutes before she began to lose her mind. But that was Heavenly Father’s plan! He knew that she talked WAY too much and if He was ever going to get his message through, she needed to get right to the point.
“I love God.”
That’s about all she could say, but Heavenly Father let all her love and gratitude for Him tangle around and stick to those few words and then He carried them into the hearts of those beautiful people. She didn't say much while she was there, but she said enough. Her love for Heavenly Father grew, and in Japan, she began to develop a closeness with her older brother Jesus Christ. He was so good to her over there! He was with her when bike rides were long, and baptisms were few and far between. He was there when she was freezing and was sick of eating octopus and intestines. And He was there that day when they called and told her that her dad was dying and it was time to go home. What would she have done without Him?
As she progressed throughout her life, she was given so many blessings. She was able to find the man of her dreams and marry in the temple. She bore and helped raise 5 amazing children. He heard her prayers and answered them over and over and over again in many different ways. But the number one way that He kept in touch with her, and led her, and comforted her was through the pages of the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures. He never felt far away. All she had to do was pray and then read, and He was right there! It was like magic.
