It's a fantastic world. Grace Relfe from Zihuatanejo called me this week to inform me of a friend's passing. She told me she was going to San Diego, CA. I told her to visit the WorldBeat Cultural Center, where the "Pathways to Freedom" exhibition is currently on display. Grade was the photographer for this project. I was the project manager, guided by Donají Méndez. We did this 9 years ago!

After 14 years of writing, translating, and publishing 10 articles every month, I am "semi-retiring" to care for aging parents. It has been a labor of love, and I thank all those who have contributed. The magazine has over 400 articles and will still be online. I am proud to announce that Dra. Candelaria Donaji Mendez Tello won the 2024 Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. Task Force, Inc. Vicente Guerrero Award for her work and service to promote peace, justice, and equality throughout the Americas. She is the President of Mexico Negro, A.C. and the new Director of Universidad Autonoma Business and Tourism Campus in Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico. I will accept the award for her in Southfield, Michigan, USA, on August 24, 2024. (It is difficult for Mexicans, even of this caliber, to get a USA Visa).
