“Hello everyone, I am here to let you know I am retiring from professional tennis. The reality is it has been some difficult years, these last two especially. I don’t think I have been able to play without limitations. It is obviously a difficult decision, one that has taken me some time to make, but in this life, everything has a beginning and an end, and I think it’s the appropriate time to put an end to a career that has been long and much more successful than I could have ever imagined.”

In a video posted to X on Thursday, Rafael Nadal announced November's Davis Cup in Malaga will be his last professional tournament.

Two big tournament results from players from Gilad Bloom Tennis:

1) Ken Wang won his first ever USTA title in California in the Boys 12s division at the L7 event in Fountain Valley, California

2) 15-year-old Matias Reyniak played in 2 J30 ITF events in the 18 & Under divisions in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. He finished as the runner-up in the first event, and followed it up with a title victory the next week, winning the semifinals and finals in three sets.

USTA Eastern's award-winning 36th annual College Showcase Day will be held Sunday, November 10 at the Genesis Club at Saw Mill Club in Mount Kisco, N.Y. The annual event offers high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to both meet with and demonstrate their skills in front of college coaches in attendance. Freshmen and Sophomores may also attend the College Camp where they'll learn from local university coaches.

2024 U.S. Open Breaks Records, Introduces Event ‘Firsts’ and Showcases the Power of Tennis as the World’s Healthiest Sport

The US Open surpassed one million attendees for the first time in 2024. The 1,048,669 fans who came to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center throughout the full three weeks represented an eight-percent increase over 2023.

Attendance for the two weeks of the Main Draw reached a new high mark of 832,640, and both Arthur Ashe Stadium (25 sessions) and Louis Armstrong Stadium (14 sessions) sold out every session.
