Scyther Podcasts Wrestling News, Rumors, Reports, Fantasy, by fans, for fans, supported by you! With talk upon the world of WWE, TNA and ROH. The main host of Beyond The mat.

Beyond The Mat is a live and interactive weekly Podcast in which we talk about all the goings on in Professional Wrestling. There monthly Pay Per View events and our thoughts on professional wrestling in general. We talk in depth about certain topics and piece together our opinions and thoughts on the current scene that is wrestling. Originally a recorded broadcast, uploaded within a few days Slam

of The Week (As it was called then) was a podcast based upon The Undertaker. After a number of episodes it was renamed The Darkside, however we would still cover professional wrestling and all of the weeks TV, but we would also cover a specifc Undertaker topic, from his "Wrestlemania Winning Streak", to such topics including "If an Undertaker film was ever made, would we be interested and if we could film it ourselves what would we do." The show began to take more and more shape over the first year in 2008, with Karl Dutton at the helm along with Frank Estheban as his right hand man, both would produce a podcast every week for the fans. Another host joined which was JC and this three man team would be the fixture for a number of months. It was sponsered since almost day one by phenomforever.com who is the longest running fansite on the internet, the fansite for The Undertaker. In September of 2008, The Darkside had a new pair of Co-Hosts as Richard and Anthony Sorrentino, known as (DM and BM) joined the show to give there thoughts on the week in wrestling and the Undertaker Topic for that week. A new show also began as Beyond The Mat started which was a wrestling topic show based upon anything in wrestling from The Monteral Screwjob, to certain wrestler like Triple H and The Rock. In october of 2008 a listener to the show started sending in E-mails regarding his thoughts in Professional Wrestling, that person was James Buchanan. For the final few months of 2008, The Darkside was slowly becoming a bigger podcast with each show, more people listening to it and the content becoming alot better. In the start of 2009 James Buchanan joined the team full time, appearing on the show and since then no-one has looked back. We have had guest hosts, including listeners and friends but the core team has pretty much been the same since 2009. From Episode 100, The Darkside no longer existed, instead replaced by a new name, Beyond The Mat. Taking the spot of the Original Beyond The Mat show, we incorporated both bits of the shows we did, to create one big show, anywhere from an hour or two hours long, every Saturday night live, we talk about professional wrestling. It was in July of 2011 that a new era of Scyther Podcasts had begun, within a brand new website to promote it's podcasts and to make it look more professional. The future of Scyther Podcasts is unknown but all we know is that you will hopefully enjoy every minute of it. Beyond The Mat Team

Since joining the team in 2009, James has expressed his love of Indpendant Wrestling throught the shows, tries to give an informed opinion and likes to look at the company as a whole rather then looking at one point in detail...Oh yeah a complete Jackass as well. Richard Sorrentino (DM) - Host / Encyclopedia / Audio Producer
Since joining the team in 2008, DM has brought a punchline to Beyond The mat, whether it be a story or what happens in wrestling, find a way for DM to come out with a crude and tasteless joke. (Although 99% of the time they are incredibly funny)

Jennifer Lee - Host / Owner of phenomforever.com
Since Joining the team in 2010, Jen brings a level of interest never before seen in wrestling, one of the few people who enjoys watching WWE Diva matches and enjoys reporting about it. Jen always knows how to creep the hosts out at times as welll....Thanks Jen!

Cody Rhodes for HOF 2023 - 2099

Hello everyone and welcome to this, more so predictions for Wrestlemania 38 in Dallas Texas. First and foremost, where is NXT? Well, normally I would have predictions for that, though the problem with it is, and I’m not going to lie folks, I have a hard time watching NXT these days. Nothing to do with the wrestling, it’s the presentation. For me it’s just too bright and hard to watch on the eyes so sadly, no predictions for NXT. I’ll watch the show and enjoy it just the same, just hope it’s not too bright.

McIntyre v Corin – It’s a fun little feud that they have had for six months (Has it been that long) and this might be a sleeper match since both of them can put on a hell of a match when they’re motivated though it is a grudge match with no real stakes, so I’ll go with Drew because Corbin can afford the loss.

Uso’s v Boogs/Nakamura – IF there was ever a time to turn Boogs heel, now would be that time. However, their pairing is just too good. This match will probably be the best tag match on the card (for both nights) and I am definitely going to enjoy watching this one. However, the Samoan’s have been on fire for a long long time and I feel they’ll keep that fire going. Uso’s retain.

Miz/Logan v Mysterio’s – Hey they gave me a match that…yeah I’ll watch but I can’t stand the heel team (I think that’s the point) so I’ll be watching hoping a light or falling star lands on Logan Paul and crushes him. This could go either way because I could completely see Miz getting the win over Domi and Domi just losing his s**t and attacking Rey and going full blown heel. HOWEVER, not quite the night for that, Mysterio’s get the win because Texas.

Rollins v Mystery – I hate the internet/wrestling fans sometimes because they sure do love spoiling things and being ‘smarks’. Either way, lets just say I ‘don’t know’ whom it could be. But lets just say….someone returns to WWE, loses, and then BIG mystery reveal, because, Texas.

Becky Lynch v Bianca Bel Air – A main event title match that…at first I didn’t care for because I have not been a Lynch fan since she won the rumble (the way she won it and the way she carried on). It was very heelish and just glad they figured out she’s a heel. Now for the match at hand, Becky has sold this match to the moon and back, Bianca, well she’s doing okay. This is the return match from Summer Slam so I get it, it should be Rhea but we’ll give Bel Air her spot. Bel Air will be new champion by the end of night 1.

KO Show – Austin comes out, they banter, Stunner, Austin leaves, end of night one. That’s…what’s going to happen. What SHOULD happen is Owens does…exactly what he said he was going to do on RAW and that would completely make him a made man. But…they won’t do that so, Austin ‘wins.’

Charlotte Flair v Ronda Rousey – Charlotte is consistent and there is a reason why I am still a huge fan of her. She’s a heel, she understands that and she plays it so dammed well. Ronda is back (for the time being) and going to have a barn burner of a match with Charlotte. I do have a feeling though that Ronda is going to win this one so she can eventually drop the title properly and have a good title run vs how she went out the last time.

Zayn v Knoxville – Comedy match and nothing more. Knoxville wins with shenanigans, welcome to Jackass.

Lashley v Omos – Well, no one saw that one coming. And I’m actually glad that Lashley is able to come back in time for Mania. Lets face it, they have no real plans for Omos (yet) and they’re so behind Lashley it’s unreal. If Omos was going to lose, it should be to someone like Lashley whom is going to win, then head for the Unified Championship.

RKBro v Street Profits v Alpha Academy – This will be another fun match with a lot of chaos to follow. I’m actualy looking forward to this match and I’m sure it’ll be a runner up when it comes to tag team matches on both nights. RKBro retains because Friendship…least for now.

McAfee v Theory – they are getting behind Theory big time…..but he can afford a loss and nothing bad would happen to him, plus we have seen Pat Wrestle before so I’m sure he can handle himself, against someone like Theory. It should be a fun one either way, I see McAfee winning because, again, Theory can afford the loss.

Vega/Carmella v Naomi/Banks v Bazler/Nattie v Ripley/Morgan – when did Morgan and Ripley team up and why isn’t that happening WAY more often? They are my favorite team here to win this one, however, I have a feeling ‘dirt sheet marks’ are going to get their wish and finally give Sasha ‘what she deserves’ and give her a win at Wrestlemania, making her a two time tag team champion. In fact I take that back, I take that all back because f**k the internet, it goes to Ripley and Morgan because Texas dammit!

Styles v Edge – Well, we thought we knew him, but Edge has cranked up the heel and turned it up to 100 and the k**b only goes to 10. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE on the internet said ‘Oh it’s going to be Cody I just know it because blah blah blllaaaah’ and I sat on the couch and said ‘He said Phenomenal….noooo way’ and it turned out to be AJ Styles. This match, has the potential to be the match of the weekend. No joke this is going to be freakin’ amazing, with them firing off on all pistons. Both of them can afford the loss, especially since they both recently changed from heel and face. This one is tough because they could go both ways. Edge losing might mean the end of his run, Edge winning might mean the beginning of a new run, possibly a title run as well. This is a tough one to predict since I honestly haven’t a clue whom will walk away but if one person needs a win (especially recently) it’s AJ, so I’ll go with AJ Styles for the win.

Roman v Lesner – Well I know it’s redundant and they have done this match to death…but now they’re unifying the titles (again) and lets face it, Cowboy Brock and God-hand Roman makes for good television. Both of them have been on fire and both of them have the audience within their palms. Both of them can afford the loss but one of them can afford it more. Brock has proven that he can lose a title then just come back and get it back, Roman, I am not sure has that kind of draw or character to pull something like that off. That being said, Brock is only doing this for fun, which is fine, so I’ll say Roman takes it, wins the Undisputed Title (Because reasons) then Lashley comes for him.

Well those are the picks, what do you folks all think? Can’t wait for the Hall of Fame this year and lets home Mania is a good one!

Conversation between Vince McMahon and The Upper Office reguarding Wrestlemania.

=====================================================================================

Office : Right, okay Mr. McMahon right now Wrestlemania isn’t look all that great. Sales are down, the company isn’t looking fantastic we need a boost to garner profits.

Vince : Yes, we have gone through a lot of over the last few years and this year’s Mania will be no different.

Office : We have some ideas going forward –

Vince : Hold that thought, first off we’re planning something big this year to get everyone involved and people will flock.

Office : That’s great what did you have in mind?

Vince : First off, we’re going to book Stone Cold Steve Austin to be at the event!

Office : As a host, we’ve done that before but it always works and plus it’s in Texas.

Vince : Correct, and he’s going to wrestle!

Office : Wait, he’s going to what?

Vince : Next, we’ll sign Cody Rhodes from AEW, his contract expired and he’s looking for a killer deal, and his father is from Texas!

Office : Ah okay, now I’m starting to see what your plan is.

Vince : And to top it off we’re going to have him disown the Rhodes name, in Texas!!

Office : Okay wait that actually…could work.

Vince : And of course we’re putting The Undertaker In the Hall of Fame! Because Texas!

Office : Holy cow, well if anything that should bring a lot of fans to the Hall of fame and to Wrestlemania. Now about Cody --

Vince : Yes, he’s going to disown the Rhodes name, become a massive heel which he tried to be in AEW.

Office : Well I’m not sure he wanted to be a heel –

Vince : On top of that we’re buying AEW and then Cody will sign his contract in front of his father!

Office : Oh, so in front of the Rhodes Statue.

Vince : No, in front of His Father, Dusty Rhodes!

Office : Uh Sir, I am not sure you’re aware of this but, Dusty Rhodes passed away.

Vince : I know that you troglodyte. We’re going to bring him back from the dead!

Office : We’re what? Do we have the power to do that Sir?

Vince : You bet we do pal.

Office : But how is that possible?

Vince : Randy Orton comes down to the ring with a giant snake and you’re question how we’re going to bring Dusty Rhodes back? Hell we already did it with Paul Bearer. We’re going to use ASMR!
Office : Oh you mean augmented reality.

Vince : Yes, use the Occulus Rift!

Office : I don’t think how that works.

Vince : Dammit we’re going to move forward with these plans. With all of these Augmented Legends we can have a 12 hour Wrestlemania!

Office : Okay Sir but that does sound a little bit repugnant.

Vince : And when it goes well, we’ll bring back all of the Legends like Andre, Savage, Warrior, hell even Eddie Guerrero ha ha ha.

Office : Sir if I may that actually might be a little bit offensive.

Vince : When in the hell did we care if we’re offensive. I’m Vince McMahon Dammit!

Office : That’s not really an argument of contention Sir.

Vince : I fought a one legged man! I beat the crap out of my own son and daughter! I bought WcW and squeezed the life out of the competition.

Office : Yes Sir but in this day and age –

Vince : I don’t give a damn what anyone says, I created the Attitude Era, powered through Ruthless Aggression, bought every indy superstar during the PG Era, I created Hulkamania!

Office : We know that Sir but this is all a little bit out of touch.

Vince : I’m tired of hearing how out of touch I am. I shattered both of my quads and came back faster than Triple H, he’s not even back to work after a heart attack and I plan on doing it much faster.

Office : Sir Triple H is a major player here and we take that seriously, we don’t need you getting one for the security of this company.

Vince : I know what I’m doing pal. We have been the leader of sports entertainment for over 50 years!

Office : We hear that a lot too Sir, but as I’ve mentioned this all sounds a bit perplexing.

Vince : We built the Thunderdome, gave Bobby Lashley Lightning, that’s two black world champions this year alone!

Office : Okay but Sir, purchasing AEW, bringing back legends with Augmented Reality, 12 hour Wrestlemania, no one is going to go for it.

Vince : Let me ask you this, are they cheering Roman Reigns after years of hating him?

Office : …

Vince : Did you acknowledge him?

Office : …

Vince : …(tapping)

Office : …so..we’re purchasing AEW..?

NXT Stand and Deliver. Well I was wrong on a LOT of these matches, pleasantly surprised except for ONE match (Grr) but overall good night for wrestling

NXT Night One baby1

05/04/2021

NXT

Pete Dunn vs. Kushia - This will be a great match to say the least, out of nowhere this rivalry just started. It’s a match I wasn’t sure I needed but glad I”m getting. I know both of them have sort of been on the losing end of things recently, Kushia unable to beat Gargano and Dunn under Balor. That being said either one of them can afford the loss but that being said I’ll give it to Kushida, just to start the night off hot.

Triple Threat Tag Team Match - Unsure of where my judgement lies on this one. The smart money is to put it on MSK since they are on fire since winning the Dusty Rhodes Classic. However Grizzled Young Veterans, almost need the win to remain relevant since they’ve been on the losing end of things, Phantasma, they have been around but haven’t really done much in the way of anything so I’m pulling for MSK but I have a feeling the scale leans towards GYV.

Six Man Elimination Gauntlet - I pull for Ruff, I pull for Reed and I’m pulling for Loomis. All six have been on a hot streak with collective wins and losses across the board. The winner faces Gargano on Night Two. Honestly, out of all of them, despite Ruff having history, Loomis is the biggest threat here and has always been around. Halloween Havoc Blackhart was the host and eventually won the tag team titles, Loomis was the host of the last Pay Per View, so going with that Logic, Loomis is your winner.

Walter vs.Tommasso Ciampa - Haven’t seen Walter in quite a while and he’s still UK Champion, Ciampa has been all over the place but hasn’t been able to recapture the big one. Cut a hell of a promo on NXT about how much he has changed since surgery. As good as the promo was and I want to back Ciampa on this one, I feel Walter is going to retain the gold and keep it just a little while longer.

NXT Women’s Championship - Shirai has done a fantastic job maintaining the new status quo of NXT. Exit Aska and enter Shirari. Granted three other women have held it since then, still Io has put out quality since day on. Gonzales, damn what a powerhouse, definitely holding the game in the palm of her hands. She’s responsible for taking out Rhea in that brutal last man standing match. Is it her time to shine? If there was ever a time to pull the trigger now would be the time...but I say Io, one final time, retains.

NXT Women’s. Tag team Championship - This is a tough one since Ember and Shotzi just got the titles but ‘The Way’ haven’t had any real big wins collectively in a long while. Unless that’s the gimmick really not much to say. It’ll be a fun match but Shotzi and Ember will retain.

NXT Cruiserweight Championship - Because this match needed to have a ladder in it why not? We haven’t seen much of Devlin mainly due to the pandemic and being on the UK Brand of NXT. Which always isn’t as accessible when you work as many hours as I do to ‘catch up’ on wrestling. Plus I believe last year he was one of the guys implemented in that movement. Not that it matters but WWE does have a tendency to punish those caught in social media tangents. Escobar, he’s held the cruiserweight title for quite some time and technically is the ‘paper champion’ since he never beat Devlin for the title hence the conundrum that we’re in. Tough call honestly but seeing as how Devlin didn’t get much of a chance to shine (here in the states) with the title, this will be his comeback, Devlin wins.

NXT North American Championship - Well here’s a match that I can’t wait to see. Using my prediction going forward it should be Gargano against Loomis. Loomis is going to take the title and have a nice run with it. He’s over, he’s very over and the best thing about him is less is more. Johnny Wrestling is losing it here tonight to Loomis.

Unsanctioned Match - O’Riley vs. Cole circa ROH. If anyone didn’t know, they’ve done this before...but I’ll keep it kayfabe. I’ll admit I do get a little tired of the ‘my best friend’ storyline or the ‘traveling partners’ schtick. It works but I wish it wasn’t used as much as it had been over the last few years. Orton/Edge, Sasha/Bailey, Owens/Zayn, Drew/Shaemus, Ripley/Gonzales, hell they did one with LaRae as well earlier in the year, so it’s kind of overplayed. Now does that take away from the match? No, not at all, it doesn’t even need nor require that kind of build up, just the two of them in a match is enough with the history leading up to it, not mentioning the years building. This might take the match of the Night (for both) and I’m looking forward to that. Who’s winning? Well, there is a ‘strong’ factor in this which might make things a touch rough for Kyle, accidental or not, so I’m going with Adam Cole!

NXT World Championship - F**k this match. No really f**k this match. Why? Because I don’t get the hype around Karrion Kross. Yeah they did a good job building him up in the promo package but take away Scarlett he’s just another large guy with a meat head charisma. Now I know he wasn’t given a full chance to defend the NXT title on the first run, I was okay with that, but my fear is this is his ‘return’ to the throne but where does that leave Balor? Storyline wise, it makes sense for Finn to do the honors and let Kross (as see through as he is) have his day in the sun. Would this place Finn back on the main roster or does this move him back to the UK where he can have that match with Walter? Perhaps I’m seeing the writing on the wall or perhaps I’m being slightly pessimistic, but, I’m holding out for the best and granted I’m more than likely wrong on this one, but I’m going with Finn because he’s my guy.

Wrestlemania

Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro - This feud kind of popped up out of nowhere didn’t it? A little bit strange but at least we’ll get a good match out of it. Cesaro hasn't’ done well much over the last few years and Rollins has done plenty, he could afford the loss here but where would it push Cesaro? Perhaps against Roman (spoiler alert) for the title should he win, but, honestly I have no real faith in it so I’m going with Seth. I mean hell, he beat Triple H and Brock Lesner back to back Wrestlemania’s so that has to count for something.

Bad Bunny vs. The Miz - Morrison gets screwed out of another Wrestlemania from a celebrity and hell, even Damian Priest is getting screwed out of it. Well at least Miz will get the payday from it. Has a celebrity, minus Wrestlemania 2 (Battle Royale) EVER lost at Wrestlemania? I mean….ever? Yeah, Bad Bunny wins and I won’t take anymore time talking about it. Shame it’s not a tag match though, that could have been a touch more entertaining.

Stroman vs. Shane Steel Cage - Welp, this is a match we weren’t sure we wanted nor needed. Stroman in my opinion could have been used MUCH better than this. Hell last year he fought Goldberg, now he’s against Shane. Won’t call it a downgrade but...this is where they’re going? Least it’ll give Elias something to do (Spoiler). I can see Shane winning because Brawn will throw him with enough force to shatter the space time continuum through the cage and he’ll roll to the outside, proceeding with a ‘stupid’ chant. Hands will be gotten but victory will not.

The New Day vs. AJ/Amos - Lets take a tag team who honestly if they weren’t on my screen, I’d be okay without them for a week (seriously) and let's take a new team whom, I’m just not sure about. Amos has this aura about him, but I am sensing huge (El Gigante') vibes. I’m sure he can do more than pick someone up and slam them down, I mean, least I think so. While I’m not quick to throw away the 118 time tag team champions, AJ hasn’t had a title in a while and if Amos was going to break away and be a singles star, it’ll be after AJ loses the tag titles and blames him for it, so, I’ll give it to AJ and Amos. Oh and que a New Day Reunion prior.

Smackdown Women’s Championship - Okay, real talk, I’ll say it without beating around the bush. I’m not a huge fan of Sasha (she’s better as a heel) and Bel-Air, yeah, she’s good but is she ready? My biggest issue is I can’t see them changing BOTH women’s titles at wrestlemania and Sasha did just come off of a decent run as champion, something she hasn’t had since ever minus NXT. Bel-Air is playing the straight man in this match and Sasha can and will use some heel tricks (possibly ‘turn’) to retain gold here. IF, granted she’s my pick to win, Sasha retains gold, I have a feeling I know who’s winning the OTHER women’s title and if Sasha loses, well, s**t. Plus if Sasha loses she might threaten to quit again.

United States Championship - Riddle and Shaemus have been feuding since Survivor Series but to be fair, Shaemus has been feuding with everybody since ‘09. Now I can sit here and say WWE is going to ruin Riddle’s reign for flubbing up his lines on Raw. I’m sure that went over real well with certain people in the back. But, Riddle was on 78 segments on Raw that week, so forgive the guy for getting confused. Shaemus though has been killing it since returning, winning matches that don’t mean anything but still keeping in the upper deck. Who’s pulling this off? Tough call. If Riddle wins that means there’s faith in the system, if Shaemus wins it just makes sense. I don’t know exactly the win/loss record between these two but I think Shaemus is up one on Riddle, plus, Keith Lee needs someone to fight when he comes back so, I’ll give it to Shaemus.

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn 2304 - Will I ever get tired of these two wrestling? No. Do I think Zayn is doing his best character work ever? Yes. Is there a way to f**k this match up? Yeah it’s called Logan Paul. Doesn’t need to be here, not interested, he can go away. Curing cancer saves children die for our sins, don’t care, let's get back to wrestling. Who’s winning, well I think it’s Owens 873 to Zayn 721 and Owens….hasn’t been Owens in, well, forever, so I’ll give it to Sami this way it gives Owens a reason to go heel again. No, I take that back, Owens will win because LP will end up screwing it up for Sami and that’ll be another conspiracy, Youtube is trying to shut down Zayn. So yeah I’ll go with that, Owens wins because reasons.

Intercontinental Championship - Aah, I see what you did there WWE. Clever. Let's make Apollo Crews even more blacker than he needs to be. Lets use Nigeria and figure out a way to NOT make it offensive. Well, it kind of worked. Big E. has done some decent things since leaving the New Day (rather than being a hip swivel) and I expect some good things. Will this match be good, god I hope so since both of them can actually move around the ring. Their last match ended…..very strange so hopefully this makes up for it but I see Big E. holding onto it...just a little bit longer.

Randy Orton vs. The Fiend - Well this rivalry got serious pretty quick didn’t it? I love how fans crave and desire the ‘attitude era’ and then, WWE gives them something like setting someone on fire and they rebel against it...and these are the same people who loved when they set Kane on fire..twice. Or when Taker was teleporting and sending lightning down from Thor’s basement. Or hell when they crave a dark brooding and creepy character they get it and then crap all over it. The character work on this has been stellar, Alexa Bliss has COMPLETELY committed to the role and should be given a Slammy for it. Honestly I can’t even remember her old gimmick since this. It’s almost as if they took Bonnie and Clyde, mixed it with Harley and Joker and threw a bit of Kevin Sullian. For the fans that aren’t enjoying it, that’s fine, just don’t ask for anything ever again. For those who have been following along, yeah, this story has gotten...crazy and if anything, Orton should be registered as an arsonist by this point. Could talk for hours about this and the slooooooooow burn (see what I did there) this feud has been but we’re here for predictions. Who’s winning? Well, Orton is one up at wrestlemania against Bray, so was Cena, but against the Fiend, Orton is already one up, so Bray is getting his win back and Orton, who said he wants to be around for another 10 years, can afford a loss here.

Raw Women’s Championship - S**t! I have to predict this match? Damn. Okay well last year it was Charlotte and Rhea was forever grateful so it makes sense that she would get her win back but over Asuka for the title. BUT, they did just have Rhea...come in and say “Hey, lets fight” and the match was on. BUT, every woman’s wrestler as of late has been saying ‘give me a chance I can fight’ so, I’m not sure who really to go for. Lets take all of that out of the equation, holy s**t, Rhea Ripley goes from Charlotte to Asuka in her second wrestlemania. That to me is like going from Flair to Great Muta, you...can’t can’t any better than that. Who’s going to win? I’m so damned torn on this one, why? Because Rhea I have liked since day one and she was my pick during the Mae Young Classic where I said ‘they need to sign her, they need to sign her now’ and holy s**t, they signed her and she’s been a rocket. But then there’s Asuka and that mountain to climb. I love Asuka, since day one I’ve been a huge supporter, but, she has been pretty banged up as of late and she has carried that title on her shoulders SINCE Becky left, plus, Asuka was also a tag champion as well. Wouldn’t it be funny if the two friends from NXT (Rhea/Gonzales) beat two long standing Asian Champions to win their first branded singles title? Holy crap that makes me want to change my prediction now since that story writes itself. Why do you make me hate you so much wrestling? Damn, well, I’m going with my gut that Rhea wins gold here, A. as a return from last year and B. to give Asuka some time off.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship - Ah, well damn here’s a match that, I’m so, well, my scale can go either way. One, I can say I’m looking forward to it but I can also say I’ve already seen it as in, RIGHT after Mania last year. I don’t want to call Lashely a transitional champion here, but Drew...DID get screwed out of that ‘big moment’ last year when beating Lesner and I can sort of see...this being his ‘moment’. But, I can also see that Lashley for the last 3 years has been pedal to the metal and all pistons going so it would really be a crap deal for Lashley to be given a title just to lose it a few months later. I mean, he beat the Miz so it wasn’t as if he got his ‘moment’ in the lights. So for my money, as much as it kind of sucks, I see Drew regaining his title and doing the favor to Lashley as SummerSlam where the favor can be returned.

WWE Universal Championship - Edge isn’t winning. No way no chance no how. How do I know this? Because Daniel Bryan had to f**k it all up. And I love Bryan don’t get me wrong I do, but he doesn’t need to be in this match. It’s no different than Shawn involving himself in the match back at Wrestlemania 20, there was no reason for him to be there, but, he was added and off we went. Roman is WAY too strong of a heel to drop the title here at Mania, something he hasn’t done yet is defend it successfully at Mania and this would be his chance to do it. Now granted Edge isn’t going to get the loss, Bryan will be the one who’s shoulders get pinned, BUT, this will send Edge deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole and force him to go after Bryan and give us that match he was talking about a few months back. Roman Retains, Edge goes uberheel and Bryan finishes up the final season of Total Bellas.

Your thoughts folks!

So Wrestlemania is proposed to hold 45,000 fans huh?
