Singapore Mandarin SongWriting Competition 中文歌曲创作大赛 Music feeds the soul, generates creativity, and at its most basic, entertains us.

With that in mind, C’ING 2011 is born. A nation-wide song composing competition for the youths, C’ING 2011 hopes to lend a platform for aspiring singers and songwriters to share their creations, as well as to express themselves to an appreciative audience. The brainchild of three diploma students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic School of Humanities’ Chinese Media and Communication division, C’ING 2011 a

ims to generate interest in local pop music and the Chinese language. The term “C’ING” (pronounced sing) hopes to encapsulate the ongoing movement to get youths to compose, create, and promote the active use of Chinese language. C’ING 2011 will culminate in a concert celebrating Singapore’s unique brand of mandarin pop, featuring works from the competition, plus an exciting line up of both prominent, and up and coming local pop artistes that will be sure to rock the house down.

音乐是娱乐，是抒发情绪的管道，同时也是音乐人挥洒创意以及天分的方式。

C'ING 2011是由义安理工学院，人文学院，华文传媒系所筹办的中文歌曲创作大赛。通过这个比赛，我们希望提供年龄介于15-35岁的年轻人一个能够发挥创意和想象力的平台。参赛者能够通过音乐以及中文表达自己的情感，借此希望推动本地华语乐坛。

C'ING 2011将以一个庆功演唱会作为一个总结。除了能够欣赏杰出的比赛作品之外，这场庆功演唱会也将云集多位本地创作型歌手以及乐团为到场的观众呈现一场不同凡响的本地音乐飨宴！
