I’m so grateful to have some work lined up for the new year starting with an intensive program with a multidisciplinary team to support children on the spectrum and with mental health challenges, weekly groups supporting people with mental health issues, as well as the opportunity to continue to work with HerSpace to offer mental health support to women survivors of modern day slavery.

I’m so grateful for the passionately powerful and inspiring humans I get to witness in my private practice, online classes, women’s connection circles and the holistic massage and singing bowl sessions that continue to evolve as a way for people to deeply connect with the wisdom of the body.

I’m looking forward to offering inclusive, trauma informed Vitality and Wellbeing incursions in primary and secondary schools, hosting the Brown Voices Collective Podcast and hopefully having you along for the ride!!

If you feel the call to break generational cycles, to have more joy and vitality or to connect more deeply to the wisdom and power within, I have a few spaces available for new clients online and in person in February. Please click the link in my bio to book in a free discovery call.

Happy Diwali!! 🪔

May we be the light we wish to see in the world 🌟

May we experience the bliss of aliveness of our being in every cell of our body and emanate this into the world. 🔥

May we embody the joy, love and peace that is the essence of who we are. ✨

And may we all shine bright as beacons of light 🕯

Happy Diwali 🪔

Here's a before and after picture of me shining bright, doing what I love, spreading the joy of being alive through dance 🌟

Imagine a world where Eastern wisdom was considered as valid as Western science.

Where Eastern and Western approaches are integrated and easily accessible to all in the public health system.

One where we could draw on a broader sense of identity rather than only being limited with an individual and isolated sense of self.

Where the wisdom of traditional cultures is not just honoured tokenistically but integrated into how we live and build communities and society.

From a Western perspective, the arts, mental health and spirituality are separate domains.
From an Eastern perspective there is no separation.

This podcast is about creating a bridge between these two realities and having conversations with special guests who are living breathing examples of being the bridge in their personal and professional lives.

Some of the questions I am keen to explore are:
~What is the connection between the arts, mental health and spirituality?
~What’s missing in the conversation about mental health in the BIPOC/ CALD community?
~How did you bridge the gap between Eastern and Western approaches?

I am excited to explore these themes with a long list of diverse guests doing amazing work and I can't wait to share them with you!!

Some of them are therapists and artists like me, but all of them have an incredible story to tell.

What are you curious to hear about?

Would love to hear from you!

I remember when I first came across this quote.
It was like this statement made sense of my whole life.

For as long as I can remember I have questioned why things are the way they are.

Why we live the way we do.

Growing up in post colonial India, so much of what I witnessed just didn't make sense to me and it has taken a lifetime to recognise the dissonance I have felt and continue to experience is from living in a world that does not reflect my core values.

A world that has lost touch with the sacredness of life.

All of life.

Because there is no separation between us, all of humanity and and the cosmos.

As a teenager I could not articulate or conceptualise all of this but I could feel it in my body.

I still feel it in my body when culture forces me to choose between my soul and compliance to an external norm or authority.

I feel it in my body when I witness my clients caught in systems that force them to comply through blackmail, coercion and manipulation.

Whether it's the mental health system, the medical system, the legal system, the education system, the NDIS system and most recently the victim compensation system for survivors of trafficking.

It's time to create new collective realities that connect us back to soul, spirit and what is life giving rather than life negating.

Join us to be part of the conversation and co-creation of a new shared mythology of oneness and interconnection.

I came across this quote recently that really resonates and would love to hear what this evokes in you-

“Learn about Indigenous brilliance and success as much as you learn about Indigenous suffering and trauma.” ~Len Pierre

To me this speaks to the resilience and magnificence of traditional perspectives and ways of being in the world and the need to elevate and highlight this. It reminds me of the excellently produced documentaries I would often see on the BBC that were always about the abject poverty and homelessness of my home country India. Somehow, they were never about the resourcefulness, resilience or richness of the culture.

Would love to hear your thoughts? What does this quote evoke in you?

Welcome to the Brown Voices Collective podcast!

Brown Voices Collective is a platform to explore, showcase and elevate diverse approaches, perspectives and experiences of the intersection between the arts, mental health and spirituality.

If you go far enough back, before a particular genetic mutation, we were all brown once.

This podcast explores realities beyond the myth of separation of mind, body, heart and soul through conversations with practitioners, artists and seekers of wholeness.

The intention is to have conversations that bring us back to that place of inner knowing of our wholeness and oneness with all that is.

Beyond reductionist materialism is a world of unity consciousness that our ancestors knew well.

It’s time to reclaim the wisdom of our ancestors that lives in us, through us
and
as us.

It’s time to take our place in the interconnected web of existence.

If you have come across our page, I would love to hear where you are from and what the name 'Brown Voices Collective' evokes in you?
