Excited to be mentoring the next generation of young filmmakers in our local schools as part of the Latino Film Institute’s Youth Cinema Project. As a part of this program, students learn how to write and produce their own films directly from professionals working in the film industry.

This week the kids were so excited as we finally got to break out the cameras. Here I am training them how to correctly frame and shoot coverage for the films they are creating as a class. We had a great time!

On August 20th, 2020 our home based video production studio in Bonny Doon, California (as well as our home) burned to the ground. Intentional Video lost pretty much everything-- cameras, film production and computer equipment, and a lifetime of previous art and film/video work.

Along with much of our portfolio, I was sad to lose some beautiful footage of our beloved nearby redwood forest, the upper Fall Creek Unit of Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park, which will now never look the same.

I was lucky to find a short video clip on my phone from before the fires, which I had taken to share the beauty and joy of this special place in nature.

From that found footage, we created this short video, combining mobile phone and 4K footage to show the forest before and after the fire.
