Free Pile, The BSC Zine Pitch in to Free Pile at [email protected] We are very excited to bring (back) the BSC Zine!

The idea to re-launch a BSC Zine came out of the General Membership Meeting in February of 2010. A tradition that has been in the Berkeley co-ops in years past, but not so recently, FreePile is our re-creation of a publication for creative exchange among the membership of our cooperative community. Since spring 2010, we have been working to showcase the eclectic talent and culture of the BSC throu

gh a compilation of articles, photos, artwork, recipes, fiction, poetry, and more. By fostering a shared BSC voice, we hope that FreePile gives co-opers a space to inform the community about things that are going on in their houses, reflect on cooperative living, express creative talents, and learn more about each other. We tried to reach out to and engage all of the houses and apartments in the BSC, and hope to keep on reaching more members with more publications and our blog! We encourage everyone to submit content and/or join us in the publication process in the future. Cooperatively yours,
