The Letter Film A film based on Tom Baker's rise from obscurity to Time Lord Whilst working on a building site Tom Baker wrote to the BBC in an attempt to find work.

Through a series of coincidences that letter led to Tom being cast as Doctor Who. The film explores the hardship and difficulties the young actor faced in his early career as well as the effects stardom had on him. The film also asks the question, "Who is the real Tom Baker.?"
The general storyline is based on true events but the core of the film, although based on anecdotes from those who have known and worked with Tom, is fictitious. This film is not endorsed by Tom Baker.
