If you’ve caught “Dreaming & Dying”, you might have picked up on the iconic use of zooms in the film. DP Lincoln Yeo shares that it was an artistic choice that he and Director Nelson Yeo made after rehearsing the first shot.
“We knew we wanted to try out the zoom but after the rehearsal. The zoom made the process and scene more liberating. The actors could freely move within a space without thinking about their marks. It also helped with capturing moments that aren’t said. A bit like people watching, staring at a scene and focusing on specific moments.” - Lincoln Yeo
