Waiting for Gioconda Radio Anniversary present YokoKono artist, producer and dj after playing electric guitar in various progressive rock and experimental bands, from 2011 she started djing and producing her electro acustic music.
She also shared the stage with artists such as Etienne Jaumet , Holly Herndon, Kuedo, Jimmy Edgar, Helena Hauff, Evian Christ...
Her music influences are coming from psychedelic music such as Acid Mothers Temple, CAN and from Steve Reich’s minimalism: YokoKono stands for a polyhedral and multi-shaped electronica, that spaces in between acid sounds to drone reaching IDM.

‘Sub Umbra’, her debut EP, is inspired by a chapter of Victor Hugo's 'Toilers of the Sea'. The tracks which make up the release are an exploration of the pitch-black, menacing, timeless shadow of the Cosmos, moments before its birth.
The 100 cassettes for this release are all handmade by YokoKono herself. Each cassette is unique, in that the drawings are always different, reflecting one single sparkle of intuition put on black deluxe paper with a mixture of thin white lines and golden paint.

Yokokono dopo aver suonato come chitarrista in varie band, spaziando dal rock progressivo allo psichedelico, nel 2011 inizia la sua produzione elettro acustica e a suonare come DJ.
Ha anche diviso il palco con artisti come Etienne Jaumet , Holly Herndon, Kuedo, Jimmy Edgar, Helena Hauff, Evian Christ...
Le sue influenze musicali derivano dalle sonorità psichedeliche degli Acid Mothers Temple, dal minimalismo di Steve Reich e dai CAN: YokoKono racchiude un'elettronica poliedrica e multiforme, che spazia dall’IDM, al drone.
