DO SHOCK BOOZEが自身のホームレーベル＜TOTEM TRAXX＞より新作を発表いたしました。
今回は、KENJI IKEGAMIによる日本の伝統楽器"尺八"の演奏をフィーチャーし、
電子トライバルダンスとトランスミュージックのフレーバーを漂わせたフロア仕様のテクノ・トラック "Firefly Squid"とそのRemixes。
硬質かつ重厚なミニマル・テクノでありつつも、ダビーなパーカッシブなサウンドが盛り込まれ、どこかミステリアスでレイビーなシンセ音に包み込
まれていく感覚にどっぷりと酔いしれることができる。
今作のリミキサーには、Len FakiのレーベルFigure含め数々のリリースに加え、当レーベルのパーティ・シリーズ「MEiYOU」や野外フェス「GLOBAL ARK」
での来日公演、Bassiani,Reclain your City等々、現行テクノシーンの今を世界中に届けるポッドキャストシリーズにも数多く参加するArthur Robert、
そして、音質に対する拘りはもはやマニアの域を超えており、日本国内を中心に活躍するP.A兼DJ、プロデューサーであるDJ M.A.Xを豪華リミキサーとし
て迎えた合計3曲を収録。更に、VJとしても活動するKazuhiro Inoueが監修を務めたミュージックビデオには、ストリートダンスクルーの志場 SIVA
(CCBB&YUNA)やUVライブペインター、Kocha Waddaらが出演し、楽曲が持つ唯一無二の世界観を見事に表現している。

DO SHOCK BOOZE, who runs the Japanese indie label TOTEM TRAXX, has released “Firefly Squid,” a floor-ready techno track featuring KENJI IKEGAMI playing the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese instrument, and flavored with electronic tribal dance and trance music. Firefly Squid” on his home label.
The track is a hard, heavy minimal techno with a dubby percussive sound and a somewhat mysterious, ravey synth sound.
The remixers for this album include Len Faki's Figure label, as well as the label's party series “MEiYOU,” a Japan performance at the outdoor festival “GLOBAL ARK,” Bassiani, Reclain your City, and many others, and a podcast series that brings the current techno scene to the world. The album also features three tracks with Arthur Robert, who has participated in numerous podcast series such as Bassiani, Reclain your City, etc., and DJ M.A.X, a P.A., DJ, and producer who is active mainly in Japan and whose obsession with sound quality is beyond the realm of enthusiasts, as the splendid remixer. Furthermore, the music video supervised by Kazuhiro Inoue, who also works as a VJ, features street dance crew Shiba SIVA (CCBB&YUNA), UV Live Painter, Kocha Wadda, and others appear in the music video supervised by Kazuhiro Inoue, who also works as a VJ, and beautifully expresses the unique worldview of the song.
