She lived in the village, but the husband the Simba lived in the city.
He had all he wished .
Money,women,good life.
In the late 80s and the early 90s his health deteriorated abd he made uo his mind to go back home to his wife in the village.
He knew he was not ok.
He taled tohis wife and they came t the agreement of him preserving his wife (not being intimate) for the time he was alive.(He anticipated his death was so near)
But one day..
He woke up with anger, locked his wife for a week and r***d her.
She screamed loudly for help but those who came Simba could shout "She is my wife"
The village men and women kept their hands of.
With in an year Simba was nomore.
The wife Regina realised that she was really sick.
Her hair fell off and she was not the glorious woman i knew.
During one of my visits to see her ,i was shocked but could not utter a word.
Life is cruel.
Regina was now the widow.
"She will die soon"
The brothers to the late Simba tormented her.
We want our brothers land..The coffee farm and everything else our brother owns.
Her only solution was to run to cchurch.
She seek solace in the fellowship of church friends who stood by her in all situations.
Taking up her three kids.Mukami was the first born.Kuria was second and the only boy..Lilly was the last born.
The death struck again.
Lilly died and everyone talked of the cause of their death.."Ukimwi" Aids.
Regina was hit hard by her daughters death.
She run to her church leader and pledged to give her portion of land for and the construction of a church building if God was to.heal her.
And through Gods everlasting mercies she was healed.
All the time her Murugi and her brother Mwangi were now all grown.
Regina was now fine .Her health was now better, her hair grew again.
Her life and that of her kids had changed to better.
It was time to fullfill her pledge......
To be continued......
