First Day of Fall
The First day of Fall and the history behind this event
Yesterday Sunday, September 22, 2013
The official time of the Equinox (the moment when the Sun is positioned directly over the Earth's equator) is 2:44 pm CDT or 1:44 pm MDT (2044z September 22) Sunday afternoon. During the day of an Equinox, nearly every point on the Earth's surface has the same sunrise and sunset, (exception is when there is an obstruction to the horizon like a mountain). The autumnal equinox will occur on either the 22nd or 23rd of September. Below are the records for North Platte and Valentine for the both days.
We have a short informative and interesting Video of the Mayan And Mexican history behind "The first day of Fall" That I was fortunate to be able to record a few days ago while in Cozumel Mexico on a Carnival Cruise line Excursion, With one of the most informative & passionate persons you will find when talk about his homeland and the Mexican Cultural, Mr. Ignacio Diaz Martinez, I hope you enjoy this as much I did.
