The Louisa County football team's late two-point conversion try came up short in the Lions' one-point loss to top-seeded William Fleming in the Region 5C semifinals on Friday night.

A blocked punt recovered in the end zone, a two-point attempt and an onside kick made the final minutes of Friday's Region 5C semifinals enthralling.

Referees ended Friday's Region 4D quarterfinal game between Orange and Jefferson Forest early after a chaotic fourth quarter.

Time remained on the clock at Sabre Stadium on Friday night when Jefferson Forest was ruled the winner of its VHSL Region 4D quarterfinal matchup versus Orange County. The ending put a grey cloud on an otherwise sunny night for the Cavaliers.
