/blundar is introducing the world to the Malmö-based producer known as nrl:ndr through both an album and a cassette release. As is their modus operandi, there are no titles provided for either. Instead speaking through sound and sleeve photos, we are induced into an intricate maze of synthesizer experiments and urban architecture studies. While the album is a curated sequence of shortened tracks, the cassette can be seen as a complementing study of the producer’s work.
Moving closer to the core of the creative process, we are treated with two longform compositions in their full unedited splendor. Layering dry creaking ambience around building kick patterns that disintegrate into abstract rhythms, nrl:ndr walks us through a minimalist soundscape that still burstles with organic life and psychedelic reverberations./

/Spanish-born producer Digge Shim relocated to Malmö, Sweden a few years back and found his calling in the reincarnation of electro through his relentless output of acid-flavored 303 jams. Besides establishing the Malmø Traxx label he also ran the city’s foremost record shop for electronic dance music.

On Side I, he collects some indica-infused ambient and goes all in on Gregorian chants and samples of political speeches. Side II is a head nodding trip through leftfield experiments in downtempo, dubby disco and the tropical ghosts of boom bap./

"Perhaps best described as a pioneer of the underground experimental scene, the signature of Jørgen Teller on the musical landscape of Denmark traces back to the late 1970’s. Sprung out of a whirlpool of post-punk and art school ideas, Teller has relentlessly been chiseling away on the constrictions of music in various bands, collaborations and solo projects ever since. Friday 20th Septemeber 2024 17:00 hosts BLUNDAR17 LP release event, with live performances by Jørgen Teller and Jakob Riis.
BLUNDAR17 is based on a live performance held at the Inter Arts Center in Malmö in early 2022, where Teller performed a semi-improvised piece in homage to the poet Poul Borum, whom he had worked with in the mid-90’s closely before Borum’s death in 1996. The LP also features a remix by a fellow colleague of the acousmatic community; the composer Jacob Riis. On the closing track B3, Riis quietly manipulates and balances the elements of Teller’s recordings and gently releases them into a contemplative pool of static.
During the event both artists will present live reinterpretations of the soundscapes and rhythms featured on BLUNDAR17.
