Jendo Jenev (pronounced Dzhendo Dzhenev) born September 20, 1986, better known by his stage name Jentaro, is a Bulgarian rapper,songwriter, beatmaker and music producer who is also the founder of the infamous bulgarian hip-hop group Nad Zakona, or Above Da Law - in english. He formed Nad Zakona in 2002 and since 2005, the group spent very little time in the studio, concentrating on live performanc
es. By present date, they have only one studio release - their debut "The Album" from 2007. Jentaro and Trafikanta - the other half of Nad Zakona, are currently working on their second studio project. In addition to leading Nad Zakona, Jen recorded a decent number of solo tracks through the years, including hit songs like "Vremeto E Pari", "Tazi Nosht", "Let's Go" and "Sam", and as a guest vocal, he appeared in many tracks for some of the best bulgarian hip-hop/rnb/reggae artists. In the period 2007 - 2009, he did a large number of live shows, radio interviews, etc. for known bulgarian hip-hop medias.In 2008 he founded JEN MUSIC and released “Jen Music Mafia” volume I – a compilation of his top solo & collaboration projects. The next step was obvious - since he extremely well raps and sings in both Bulgarian and English, he did some international collaboration projects with hip-hop artists from Serbia, France, Germany, Nigeria and USA, managing to establish himself as a respected artist even outside the country. The fans, critics and medias in Bulgaria describe his style as a "rowdy, in-your-face, profanity-filled party music", comparing him to Lil Jon. By using the classic American Crunk as a base, he created and developed his own unique raw style, known as Bulgarian Crunk, officially bringing the crunk movement to Bulgaria, and just like his american collegue, Jentaro made THAT specific sound HIS trademark. In March 31 (2010), Jentaro was supporting act for Lil Jon at his concert in Sofia - the capital of Bulgaria, where the two of them finally met personally. In 31 May (2010) Jen released “Skandalen” ("Scandalous” in english), the first single of his upcoming solo album entitled “Badman”. The album was to be released in the fall of 2010 as a joint project of JEN MUSIC & BADBEAT, but due to unexpected difficulties in the process of post-production, the album was delayed. Currently, it's nearly ready, but nothing is said about the exact release date. Many people from all around the country are waiting with bated breath it's release.
