I'm offering FREE ballroom/latin lessons for 1-2 guys. I've been teaching for almost 25 years and am a certified teacher. NO COST all I ask is a commitment and that you show off what you learn, with me, in a charity performance July 19-21. The non-profit is 4 years old and benefits first responders and healthcare workers. For one hour a week you'd learn a little bit of salsa, cha cha, rhumba, foxtrot, waltz, and more. No prior experience is required, but I'm open to experienced dancers as well. Great way to surprise a wife or girlfriend, learn something new, get some exercise, and give back to your community. I have a Zumba class, a total body workout class, and a Barre sculpting and toning class starting in January in Ballwin. I still have a few spots open. Each class runs ten weeks and is a great way to kick off New Year's resolutions, get a jump start on fitness, or just have some fun with a great group of people.

Honoring Our Heroes is a local non-profit supporting first responders and healthcare workers. Our annual fundraiser is July 19th-21st in Kirkwood. In years past we have restricted our showcase to dance and singing. This year we are hoping for more community involvement and are opening our event up to all talent. We are looking for jugglers, magicians, comedians, gymnasts, musicians and anything else you can think of. If you are interested, reach out and let me know what your talent is, how long it would last, and your contact information. We are open to all ages.

For the dance portion I am still looking for dancers who can rehearsal on Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays. The more time you give me the more stage time I can give you. Specifically I need dancers for Mondays at 7 and at least one soloist. Any age or gender. I also need a male dancer willing to do some ballroom/latin dancing. No experience required. Preferably over the age of 20. Rehearsals would begin end of March/first of April.

I am happy to announce some changes and additions to Honoring Our Heroes.

First, for the first time we will be adding more talent to our annual fundraising event. In addition to dancing and singing, we would like to invite jugglers, magicians, comedians, gymnasts etc to join our little family. If you have a talent you'd like to showcase, reach out and let me know. We'd love to include you.

Second, we have added a new purpose to our mission. As of December 4th, 2023 we will now be managing and funding the Jim Heuer Nursing Scholarship. Donations will be tax deductible and collected year round. Criteria to apply for the scholarship will be proof of acceptance to nursing school, an essay explaining why the applicant decided to become a nurse, an agreement to use the scholarship for his or her nursing education, and letters of recommendation will also be accepted. Deadlines to apply will be July 1st and up to 2 winners will be announced and contacted by August 1st. Everything should be submitted to [email protected] with Scholarship in the subject line.

We have an exciting year coming up and look forward to even more community involvement!

Honoring Our Heroes is a local non-profit formed to help first responders and healthcare workers in our area. Our biggest fundraiser of the year is a dance and vocal showcase in July. The event is scheduled for July 19-21st in Kirkwood. I invite dancers of all ages and styles to join me in rehearsal on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday evening in Ballwin. You can pick your day. The more time you give me the more stage time I can give you. We cover as many styles as possible. Ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, pointe, salsa, ballroom, etc. I like to start rehearsal in January or March depending on the dance.

I am not asking for a guaranteed commitment now. However, if you are at all interested, I ask that you contact me at [email protected] [email protected] or 314 308 3909. I’d like to know what I have to work with and we can talk more in depth later in the year.

My mommy is looking to expand her non-profit moving forward. In order to do this she is looking for some people who would be willing to help year round. It would mainly consist of passing out flyers, making phone calls, helping with advertising, and bouncing ideas around. I just finished watching the last night of rehearsals and I can confidently say this will be the best show yet. Come support these amazing people who have donated so much of their time and have worked so hard. Friday at 7pm Saturday at 7pm or Sunday at 2pm. These dancers are your neighbors, friends, and co-workers enjoy their talents and help raise money for a great cause.

I know some of you have seen the hateful/slanderous posts that have been made. It is a shame that some people are to ignorant or to lazy to check their facts before making accusations. As you know the 501c3, form 990s, and tax exempt status are all public record. It is also a shame that people are so disrespectful and selfish that they would try and stand in the way of a good cause that has been successfully operating for so long.
I wanted to take this time to assure all of you of two things. First, these people will be dealt with and face the legal ramifications of their actions. Two, they will not stop us from having a good time! Everything is in place so come on out this weekend have some fun and let's raise some money for a great cause.

I need dependable volunteers to help out at a charity event called Honoring Our Heroes for first responders and healthcare workers. The dates are July 14th 6-9pm, July 15th 6-9pm, and July 16th 1-4pm. The hours should be shorter, but I'm rounding up to be safe. You can volunteer for one, two, or three days, Jobs are simple taking tickers, selling raffle tickets, silent auctions etc. This is a dance showcase, but no experience is required. You can see a great show and help out a great cause. ALL proceeds go to charity. You will also have the opportunity to win trips to the Caribbean, Costa Rica, or Nashville and autographed sports memorabilia from your favorite St. Louis teams.
