The $10 million dollar budget will not increase taxes, but does provide funding for numerous community improvements, including including major renovations to Chartiers Park, reconstruction and slope stabilization on Werner Avenue, road paving, blight removal projects, police and public works equipment upgrades, improvements to public facilities and flood mitigation projects.

Santa will once again be visiting kids in person at this year's Winter Blast! And there are rumors that there will be live Christmas music, along with the annual tree lighting.

You should definitely stop down. But if you can't make it in-person, you can still attend via Zoom.

Kids can Zoom with Santa from approx. 6PM to 6:30-ish, then we'll switch over to a live feed of activities at the park. Use meeting ID 777 356 4000 and password SANTA2021. (All capital letters).

Some say that parking authority is humble quasi-government agency that operates a decent public lot system in a small town with limited resources. Some others view the authority as a sort of radical splinter group hell-bent on keeping the money flowing from parking meter to employee salaries, no matter the effect on the borough. Many people have opinions somewhere in the middle.

In any case, there's a vacancy on the parking authority board, if anybody is interested in serving.
