BREAKING: COURT REAFFIRM UKAEGBU AS APGA CHAIRMAN.
14th July, 2023
By Ikedieze Omereisinkwo
A high court of Abia State presided over by the Chief Judge of the state, Hon. Justice Lilian Abai has reaffirmed Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu as the substantive chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State Chapter and restated that his tenure subsist.
In the judgment delivered on the 30th day of June, 2023, the court restated that the Order given in favour of Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu is Still subsisting and remains valid and the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) having lost it's Appeal at the Court of Appeal, Owerri Division cannot turn around to purportedly conduct a Congress on 23/5/2019 to elect the Claimants; Rev Augustine Ehiemere, Elder Sunday Onukwubiri and their State Working Committee.
" The Party (APGA) was restrained from implementing or giving effect to any decisions and activities pertaining to the running of the affairs of the Party at the, Ward, Local Government, Zonal, and State levels and the argument that the Defendant if not suspended his tenure would have expired in 2015 is of no moment. I find as a fact that the claimants have not proved they are entitled to the relief sought in this suit and I resolve both questions 1 and 2 against them. This Suit is dismissed."
Senior Personal Assistant to the State Chairman, Nze Ken Anunobo who spoke to our correspondent said the current judgment is in tandem with previous judgments in this matter and reaffirms the decisions of the Court of Appeal, Owerri Division and that the last pretence by the marauding gang who held the party hostage in the state has been removed. He further stated that with the current position of the court all purported decisions taken by the party since 25th September, 2018 are of no moment and the party in the state will now forward to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC validly elected officers of the party that emerged at the last Congresses in the State.
All efforts to contact the claimants failed.

APGA ABIA CRISIS: OKOGBUO IS A COWARD.
By Ikedieze Omereisinkwo
12 September, 2022

The state chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State Chapter, Prince Nnanna Ukaegbu has lambasted the so called deputy national chairman South of APGA, Uchenna Okogbuo as a spineless coward who cannot speak on behalf of the party having been indicted for stealing the sum of Forty Six Million Naira ( N46,000,000.00) party fund belonging to Abia State Chapter of APGA.
Uchenna Okogbuo had granted an interview to a news outlet( not us) where he claimed that the party does not recognise Ukaegbu as the state chairman of APGA.
Ukaegbu in a swift responds stated that Okogbuo unlike his minion Augustine Ehiemere was a party to the Suit wherein the Court of Appeal, Owerri Division pronounced him Ukaegbu as the state chairman but that he Okogbuo did not for a single day have the courage to appear before the court to canvass the arguments he is now shamelessly trumpeting before the media. "Having lost in court it's now convenient for him to come to the public space to make noise where he cannot be interrogated, cross-examined and exposed for stealing party funds" Ukaegbu said.
" Thieves always find comfort defending fellow marauders and Okogbuo is no exception. Okogbuo and Ehiemere are birds of the same feather caught with their hands in the party's till.
He ran APGA Abia State Chapter in the period he shamelessly flaunt in disobedience of a valid court order and operated party account with ATM card paying and maintaining his wife and family from the said account and going to the extent of paying numerous prostitutes he slept with from the party account and acquiring movable and immovable properties therefrom"
SEE investigation revealed that erstwhile state chairman of APGA, Augustine Ehiemere piqued by the brazen nature of Okogbuo's criminality had dragged him before the Economic and Financial Crime Commission EFCC who arrested Okogbuo and was on the verge of arraigning him in court before a Board of Trustee member of APGA, Chief Chikwe Udensi intervened allowing Okogbuo to secured an understanding with Ehiemere for Okogbuo to help keep him in office which is what is playing out now. Ukaegbu stated that he had already served notice on the thieving duo of Okogbuo and Ehiemere of the intentions of APGA in Abia State to recover all stolen party fund and their new found alliance cannot save them from the long arm of the law.
Ukaegbu further counsel Okogbuo to challenge the court decision affirming him as the state chairman of APGA Abia State Chapter if he disagrees with the decision rather than needlessly blowing hot air in the media.
